ok, why is this 50K? I can buy another server for the price, what justifies this cost? it's listed at 200 USD which is 15K more or else

This rack is very well made. Very sturdy. Shipping was fast.Assembly of the unit was a little tricky. If you have big hands, you will have issues. It would be nice if the nuts were preinstalled (welded) to the inside of the frames. I found it hard to fit my hand in there to position the nut. Otherwise easy to assemble.

I have used these sturdy well designed racks many times and they include everything you need - wheels, cable management hoops, mounting hardware for devices and tools to assemble it with. All parts are made to work together and that means everything fits. The design is very clever in that you can select and change depth of the rack at any time. The assembly is quick and easy. The hand tools - screw driver and wrenches are quality toolbox ready tools - no flat punched from sheet metal wrenches. The instructions are easy to follow and with included tools the compact package can be drop shipped to a field location with no tools and know everything you need is in the box. The metal is thick and the end joints help create strength that nothing in this price point can touch. It can hold double or more weight of equipment than the competition. It has booth wheels and legs or it can sit on the floor. Grounding wires are even included. It may be a tiny amount more than cheaper models but the money is well spent. Quicker setup will save money!

Compared to a full four post rack this is 1000% easier to assemble and has most of the same functionality. I was afraid my longest server chassis (24” depth) would cause it to tilt over but it really doesn’t, and it isn’t even close to doing so. Overall, I’d recommend this to almost anyone over a 4 post/caster rack. It’s just SO much simpler, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. I have a 4U UNRAID server chassis, 2U computer chassis, 1U switch, 1U patch panel, and 2U shelf with raspberry pi’s and assorted smarthome hubs. This chassis, unlike my previous 4 post chassis, holds all that AND let’s me maneuver it in and out of small closets and corners to keep it hidden (essential for the wife approval factor). And I even recommend this for people who need their server to roll, and would recommend using a floor dolly or wheeled shelf. The experience will be better than the incredibly heavy 4 post rack for most people.The included mounting screws are solid and plentiful. The finish is sturdy and doesn’t easily develop deep scratches. I do wish the Star Tech logo was an optional sticker, it’s fairly large and a bit garish.

StarTech makes solid products that live up to the billing - here I have to give 5/5 as the frame is doing what I wanted it to do - organize my desktop computer with NAS, other external drives, modem, switch and placed a 16 plug power bar onto its top rung - able to move cables into one area and off the floor. Does a nice job organizing home computer set up.

Ich benutze dieses Rack im Tonstudio für ein etwas schwereres analoges Mischpult mit 11HE. Der Zusammenbau war in 5min erledigt und das Trumm steht bombenstabil auf seinem Platz. Riesenvorteil gegenüber anderen, vergleichbaren Artikeln: Hat man genug Geräte, kann man die Querverbindung weglassen (stabilität kommt durch die Geräte) und gewinnt noch eine weitere HE, wenn das betreffende Gerät nicht allzu tief ist. Sehr lobenswert: Alle Verbindungen benutzen die gleichen stabilen Schrauben, die auch für die Gerätemontage verwendet werden, incl. Unterlegscheiben. Mein Mischpult hat die Unterkante quasi auf Tischhöhe und oben sind noch 2 HE frei für outboard.Im Gegensatz zu vergleichbaren Modellen hat das hier noch den Vorteil, dass die Verbindungschrauben ein wenig Spiel haben und man die Geometrie auf leichte Unebenheiten anpassen kann, bevor man die Schrauben dann festzieht. Das Rack steht stabiler auf meinem Tisch als jedes anderer in ähnlicher Bauart, ich habe 2 weitere getestet. Der Mehrpreis ist absolut im Rahmen für das, was hier geboten wird und PL Verhältnis is top. Ich werde noch eins bestellen. Die Verarbeitung ist wertig, Materialstärke, Oberflächenbearbeitung usw alles einen Schritt besser als man es von den ganz billigen Varianten her kennt.Kaufempfehlung!
