Q: Anyone successfully got these working with bedside table touch-lamps?

I see way to many people ask or say the same thing, please Do Not switch them off by the mains or the switch on a lamp, they are designed to be "always on" and to turn them off you use the app or an actual hue compatible switch, using the power supply switch can damage the WiFi receiver in the bulb

Q: Would these work in an enclosed glass lamp shade. I currently have a small energy bulb which doesn't get hot so is suitable. Would these work the same
