Great refresher for those who are not complete novices to Spanish
I am not completely unfamiliar to Spanish as I studied in while in secondary school (middle to high school.) But nothing ever stuck because everyone learns and absorbs information differently. I was initially skeptical about this book as there are not a lot of reviews and the company does not have much of a social media presence. If you have tried learning Spanish in the past and want to get back into the groove and dont know where to start, this is a good book for you. It will be a bit tricky to grasp some concepts but this is a great overview to identify your weaknesses.Visually: the book is pretty good size to facilitate learning and I appreciate that the text is big enough to read but not so large that there is lack substantial content on the page. There are no images or diagrams to assist you so visual learners, I would suggest using colorful highlighters, pens, etc. To make key points stick out. That is proably the reason why there are few videos and pictures of the inside because it's not particularly remarkable. When doing the practice section, the line space that is provided to write your answers can be very small but there is blank space so you can extend the line yourself, no big deal.Content: this is a book for experienced beginners as they combine 3 books in one. The 1st book is basic grammar (but not really how to build a sentence yet.) The 2nd book is the alphabet, numbers, and essential words and phrases. The 3rd book is short stories to practice your reading, pronunciation, and comprehension. The plotline of the continued story example in the 1st book is interesting! I haven't gotten past the 1st book yet because I need more help with my pronunciation and reading aloud. Is it worth it? Depends on the person. I have issues with staying motivated when learning languages and keeping a dedicate rhythm. I've had the book for 2 months now and I definitely haven't completed it in 30 days. That does not mean that you can't! The lessons are doable within 20 mins, honestly 10 minutes is probably more accurate (at least for book 1!) I didn't feel intimated with this book because again, I already knew of the basic of Spanish (like the present tense indicative conjunctions, pronouns, basic pronunciation) but I struggle to make complex sentences, remember vocabulary, and absorb the information so that it is second nature. This is a good warmup for someone who wants to just a Spanish learning class/group but doesnt want to see lile a complete fool. As you grow through your learning journey, you will most definitely need more resources like videos, podcasts, conversations, signs, etc. But they encourage you to engage with just more than their book.I like the midset they have behind creating this resource, quoted from Book 1's conclusion:"A new language is a new culture. There is hardly any other way of seeing it. The lessons were intended to teach the 'hard' grammar skills of the language, while the stories, apart from being practiced, were there to compliment the lessons with cultural background.People like the characters in the stories exist somewhere in the world. Maybe closer than you think. There are tens of millions of Spanish speakers in the United States. Some of them cannot communicate in English. That means that, in addition to having fun, landing yourself a new job, or having interesting conversations with someone you love, you can probably make a significant difference in a person's life."Language is more than speaking, it is communicating with another person, sharing and communing, growing, and welcoming in differences and similarities. Everyone should be a polyglot!I am interested in purchasing other languages book such as their French line!

Try it because it's worth it
I have just begun to examine the course. I took 1 year of Spanish in high school because I had to have a foreign language. Now in my 50s, my girlfriend is from Venezuela and we communicate the best we can but I would love to just speak instead of using a AI translator. So far this covers quickly things I have learned and seems to offer basic conversational Spanish that will help.

Slightly confusing
I’m 74. I have a very good thought process and I find this to be a little bit confusing. You go from one place to the other start you off by being almost advanced to non-advanced, but back to being advanced again I find it to be very confusing I’m not sure if it’s the proper book for someone who’s just starting out.
