Q: How does this game compare to Monololy?

Raccoon Tycoon is as easy to learn as Monopoly but keeps everyone engaged throughout the game via its simple action mechanic. On a player's turn, a player can perform one of 5 actions. There's very little luck involved (compared to Monopoly's dice rolling) and there's no player elimination. We've heard many people say that this game replaced Monopoly on their game shelf!

Q: Does this have wood bits, or just the cardboard?

Cardboard, and -terrible- quality. My copy has more than a few resource token peeling apart, after only a few games.

Q: I want to give this as a christmas gift to an adult gamer should i get this one or the deluxe? what is the difference?

The deluxe version (without the raccoon on the cover) offers wooden bits and larger, tarot-sized cards to show off the amazing artwork. The standard version has cardboard bits and standard size cards. While both versions offer the same exact gameplay, it might be difficult to find the deluxe version since that was printed only once for a kickstarter.

Q: Would you buy this to play exclusively at 2 players? How long does a 2 player game last? Thanks in advance.

I’ve never played 2 player. I’ve always played 3-4. Honestly I think you need at least 4 players to make this game truly enjoyable. However you could definitely play 2 player to try and develop new strategies and even just to learn the main mechanics of the game.
