Great dog food
Sojos food is very good! Once rehydrated you can see there's so much meat in this. We let this soak overnight before feeding this though. The recommended time is 15 minutes. An overnight soak thoroughly rehydrates everything with some mixing. The veggies and meat really puff up. Between our 3 dogs this whole bag lasts the month( 2 small 15lb, 1 big 90lb). For the price it's very reasonable. You get everything with the mix both vegetable and meat. The only con about this mix is the cranberries. Our small dog will not eat the cranberries and will spit them out.

Great Formula!
I have been feeding sojo to my dogs since they were puppies. Now all are gone but one (I used to have 4 Lhasas) and we recently switched my husband's Golden's food to Sojo as well. Both dogs are seniors, my Lhasa is 14 and the Golden is 12.This is the first time we are trying the new senior formula and it's an instant hit! I have been giving them either Turkey recipe or adding cooked chicken to original sojo recipe which has been fine but recently my dog, lhasa, hasn't been too excited about his meals. Since the change, he has been cleaning his bowl clean and shiny, and so is the Golden. The food needs a longer soaking time than what it says on the bag. What I do is I soak them in warm water and let it sit on the counter for a couple of hours and finish soaking in the refrigerator over night. It becomes nice thick meal by breakfast time. None of my dog had any major health issues, and all died of old age. (16,17) I believe giving them good quality food played a big role. My husband's golden had a series of GI problems, allergies, skin problems, and other issues but since the food change, her health is noticeably improving. I highly recommend this food! It may seem like a lot up front but you do end up spending a lot less in vet bill.

Poor Choice
I have senior dog (14 year old Tibetan Spaniel). He has always had a sensitive stomach and has been a slow picky eater with his dog food. He has been on Orijen kibble since he was a puppy. Recently he has struggled with crunching the hard kibble pieces and he also was very obviously bored with the flavor of his food. I started to smash the kibble in a mortar and added plain rice or a tiny bit of cheese or chicken to make it easier to eat and more interesting. So I thought this might be good time to transition him to a freeze dried food and one for seniors specifically. Sojos came highly recommended by a comparison website and Amazon reviews. I had to buy a big bag (expensive) because the smaller size was out of stock. I prepared the food according to the instructions and added a small amount to his previous food. He loved the taste and ate all of it vigorously. I did the same for breakfast with the same result. Unfortunately, a few hours later I get a call from my son that the dog threw up and had diarrhea. I came home to take care of him and inspected the throw-up. There were strange rubbery strips (like fettuccini noodles) in it. (See picture) When I looked closely at the dried Sojos, I saw their counterparts: dried coconut strips (I bit into one to confirm). Although not toxic to dogs, it can cause upset stomachs, diarrhea and vomiting due to being “fatty”. In addition it can cause weight gain over the long run. And there’s quite a lot of it in there (cheap filler!). Not impressed. I will not feed this to my dog!
