Is aiad cloth that real stiff material

Yes. It is the off white stiff fabric. You must count the squares when you do the embroidery. I found it very difficult to do. I have done cross stitch before but this was confusing. Didn't help that the instructions were vague and poorly translated.

Does this print have a lot of half stitches?

There are no half stitches. I just finished mine...the stitches are very small and sometimes the color codes are a little off. I also changed the white tree leaves to an olive green which made more sense to me. Also added back stitching to house and barn. Beautiful!

Other than thread count what is the difference between 11ct & 14ct? Is one more advantageous over the other?

11ct means there are 11 holes within each square inch. 14ct means there are 14 holes within each square inch.
