CAT PHONES S60 Waterproof Smartphone Unlocked LATAM Variant GSM Dual SIM, 32 GB, Integrated FLIR Camera

This is a great phone. I purchased this phone as a replacement of a damaged 5 year old s60. LATAM is not a worry for US carriers. This phone is exactly the same as my US spec phone. My original phone i had to have dropped 300 plus times and worked drop after drop. This phone is made for a mans man. Not a girly man. I see a lot of them on here talking smack. I am an auto technician and beat the crap out of my phones. Steve Jobs girly I phone is a no go and wont last 30 day with me and my environment. The original phone did go through a battery which is relatively easy to replace and available. For the price now, ya just cant beat it. This is 100% a Mans phone.

Bought in May. The phone is sponsored as a rugged phone, it isn't. It is sensitive to heat, if you carry it in your pocket on a warm day it will restart itself or not want to work properly. Most of my calls drop, unless I'm on WiFi and it isn't the coverage. I've been with the same provider for 15 years and used other phones, it's the Cat S60. Most people complain that I sound garbled or distant on the other end of a call. The Flir option is okay. If you're looking through tree foliage, you can't. The infrared refracts back and glares. The roadway puts off to much ambient heat for the thermal sensor. Also, maximum range to remotely distinguish what you're looking at is between 20-30 ft. Even then it is just a noticeable heat signature. I've worked with actual thermal imagers, this phone isn't close.I wouldn't buy this phone for it's "rugged" feature. You can't use a charging pad, due to the thickness. It can't hold up to minimum standards for my day to day. I work in emergency management. This phone is rugged, if you work in a bank. No offense, if you actually work in a bank.

Awesome phone I'm 100% satisfied and impressed I have a cat b15 that I upgraded from , I'm 100% Happy I did, I've NEVER been disappointed in a Cat phone yet!!!

I've had this now for a while and got pretty annoyed when the USB port cover broke off after a few months. That pretty much eliminated any resistance to water and dust. These should really come with wireless charging to avoid that problem.The IR-camera has come in handy a few times. It tends to get pretty warm when charging I've found.

Have had the phone for a Week and a Half...1st. : As soon as I took it out of the box and opened the lid to plug in the USB charger , the cap to the USB port fell off... Not happy with that …2. At 1st signal was great , after a few days all calls began to start to break up , this is with AT&T.3. The phone tends to heat up quickly , and even though the reviews state that it is a longer lasting battery , battery does not last too much.4. When I use the Aux Port to connect to the car to listen to Pandora or anything , the volume is very very low on the car speakers... And yes , I have the volume on Max on the cell phone... Hate that fact to.All in all … I am really not happy with this phone...TO anyone , buy anything else.. My Old LG is better than this.

I really love this phone, I am working in the Caribbean on the relief effort, mostly in rainy muddy places.It has been great, the reception is good all over the Caribbean and the USA, this is the most rugged phone on the market that still looks like a phone, if you are in a dusty wet or construction type job, get one

You would think because of the price and the Name on the phone that you would get something Worth it's wait in gold!.....it's not. It's NOT actually made by CAT.....just has their name on it.This is the second S60 I've had, because the first one that charging door FELL OFF before I even turned it on.Computer - I can't get it to connect to a computer and good luck trying to find a case for it, because it's so slick that it slides off everything. And for Micro Sd card...tops out at 128gb supposedlyCharging - Every time to charge it you have to open the door again...potential for the thing to fall off again. Would have been SO much better to just added QI wireless charging (not like you could even add it). Charging to 100% ....32hrs....MY ASS. You're lucky if it lasts a full day with very light use.The Power/ wake button - is on the Left side...really throwing me off. right next to special "quick feature" buttonWaterproof - In order for the phone to be "waterproof" up to 5m, you would physically have to flip two switches to shut the sound ports, which also apparently Block the sound, closing the phone.Protection - If you want any kind of Skin or additional level of Protection, you're going to have to look on Ebay and it'll be shipping from Germany.All that said....the "FLIR" feature is fun to play with, but unless you have an ACTUAL NEED for it. Not worth it.OHHHH....and as for the CAT apps....it only recognizes Great Britain and Ireland ....not the USMy advice....Wait for the price to dropUPDATE: Most of the time it doesn't notify of calls or texts. You can't connect to a computer to load music or files. This is the most expensive cheap phone I've ever seen. There are NO accessories for this phone

False advertised. It claims it is unlocked, however my service provider and the manufacturer both had no idea why this 'unlocked' phone wouldnt work for metro. They claim it should have worked, but it must have been defective. Seller argues to refund a defective item I was NOT able to use. Wanted it to work so bad as this was the phone of choice for my line of work. So sad.

７月はじめに購入しました。始めの１週間で、明らかに本体が熱くなることがあり、充電の最中も、充電マークが点滅をすることがありました。２週間後には、充電をすると延々と画面が点滅し逆に充電が減っていく始末。ここで一度購入店へと連絡をしました。＞充電する際は、付属の充電器をご使用でしょうか？という返信がありましたが、まず日本のコンセントに合うものがなかったため、ほかの充電器を使用するしかありませんでした。付属品の確認も出来ていないのではと少し不安になりました。交換を申し出ましたが、状況確認のため修理対応となりました。商品を送ってから、何度か添付画像のような傷や擦れの画像が送られてきました。３、４週間ほどたったころ返信がありました。「検査の結果、基盤損傷のため修理不可となりました。新品交換をご希望の場合は3万円で、新しい端末に交換させて頂きます。」「端末がほぼ未使用の状態で、1週間以内の不具合でしたら初期不良としてサプライヤーに交換依頼ができるのですが、お預かりしております修理品は傷、欠け、スレなどかなり損傷が激しく、残念ながら初期不良の対象にはなりませんでした。」とのことでした。細かい傷などに関してはたくさん画像を送ってきたにも関わらず、基盤がどのような状態だったかの画像はなく、ただ損傷していますという返信だけでした。「MILスペックの耐衝撃性能」と謳っている商品にも関わらず、日常生活での使用で２週間も耐えられない商品だとは思っていませんでした。また、叩きつけたわけでもないのに基盤が損傷するなど普通ありえる事ではないのにこの対応には大変がっかりしました。その後、１万円は販売会社の方で負担させていただくという連絡がありましたが、このような商品では再度購入するのも怖いので辞退させていただきました。今回は７万円を支払って、不確かな商品を買うと失敗するということを勉強させていただきました。
