Great quality tent!
I went camping for a week on the river in December. It was relatively easy to put up by myself and I am 5'4 130 lb. It probably took an hour to set the tent up and get everything set up inside. The center pole was a bit of a challenge because the fabric is a little heavy when the floor is nailed down. I had to sit and use my legs to push the center pole the rest of the way to center but I was successful. The temps dropped to 28 a couple nights. I also had a whole night where it rained really heavy along with strong wind gusts. Not a drop of rain in my tent, and just a little shaking but the lashings held really well. The whole tent was well made right down to the zippers. Heat retention was alot more than a regular poly tent, but I still had to use two heaters because I couldnt close the vents in the top. There are a few flaws I would love to see remedied. One is the vents in the top you cant get to from the inside. You need to go outside and have a long pole or something to try to push the fabric down. There is nowhere to tie fairy lights or something similar up which would be really useful for people that like more light in their tent. The gaps between zippers (different zippers for the door and the side walls) are big enough to let in insects. There are also some stitching flaws. The stove hole stitching is off on the roof.I definitely have respect for this tent. I believe you can actually live in this thing long term and I bought the brown PU coated fabric which keeps it dry and keeps people from seeing all but the faintest light from outside.

and we were the only ones in anything sturdy. This
Bought this to take on my sons Cubscout camp trip. The rest of the camp was sleeping in their little common name flimsy tents, and we were the only ones in anything sturdy. This, sparked lots of conversations. Well built, kept us warmer than the neighbors were in the flimsy film tents with the bungie poles. Sturdy center pole. Easy to set up. Confusing instructions. But the tent, was easier to set up than the instructions made it. Zippers were a little tight, but workable. Back vents made the days heat easy. And it closed down well at night. Can not say enough good about the entire situation. Great quality. Heavy canvas?!?! Maybe. Has some kind of coating on it that made the evening dew just run off of it. Would recommend this to anyone looking for something other than what everyone else at the campsite will have. Worthy investment.

Good Economical purchase
This Danchel is a good economical purchase. If you are looking for that thick canvas tent experience, this tent is not for you, not that they advertise the same either. Now that being said, the tent is a good basic setup that is fun to camp in. I set it up in my backyard a day before a storm was going to come through. To my surprise, the tent held it's ground through strong winds, hail and torrential rain with only a few droplets of water that came through the stove jack. It has been up and under heavy use in my backyard for the last week with no issues. So good points for durability. This was just my first use though, I would love to see it hold up through at least 10 or so camping trips. The tent looks really nice externally and internally as long as the guy lines are tight. Speaking of guy lines, they do have to be tightened after a cold night as they do tend to get a little lose. Tightened just to get some wrinkles out of the walls.Initially I did find it a little small compared to my imagination, but once I got a queen air mattress, a pack and play and a cot in, there was actually still space left to walk around. So a plus point for space. The only reason I am giving it a 4star is, that, I do feel this was a little bit over priced for a 600 dollar tent.

Good quality durable
The media could not be loaded. I had done alot of research on canvas bell tents and found this one to be in my price range and yet had good quality and the reviews were great . The attached video is how it is standing with 50 plus mile a hour winds. I also purchased the danshel rain fly for added protection aganst the uv rays . It was simple to set up . One recommendation I would make is if you will be in high winds do your self a favor and order 12" stakes. Trust me they will hold the tent down in high winds. We have slept in quite alot. I wouldn't recommend any thing bigger than a full size air mattress in this but I only bought the 13ft. This holds heat very well. I absolutely love this tent. We are excited to use this in November when the snow flies here in michigan.
