Great height
This ironing board is a very good product. It looks and feels well made, and the height makes ironing less of a back ache

Best Ironing Board Ever
Best that I have ever used, but it does weigh over 5 kilos and is very heavy. Delivery was a nightmare, it arrived minus one plastic foot which Minky customer services were unwilling to supply. I had to ask Amazon to replace the entire ironing board and when the replacement arrived it was missing two plastic feet, plus the legs at one end were completely bent and twisted so it wouldn't stand up! In the end I took the missing foot from the replacement and made one good ironing board!

Looks great, great size, easy to erect/fold away but has flaws! Shame as it is close to perfect.
Although I purchased this in January 2021 I did not dispose of my old one until February. I am a single male with not a lot of ironing so my comments although a bit delayed were relevant at the time of first use and still apply after nearly 4 months. The packaging for this was a bit poor as it arrived with the rubber feet protruding through the poly film and it had obviously been stood on the feet quite frequently during shipping which had ‘scuffed’ them quite badly, I did not consider this enough reason to request a replacement but the makers/distributers should think about improving this area of the packaging. It is a good looking board and as such I had wanted one for some years so I treated myself. The board is good and wide and both the length and iron cradle are excellent. The adjustment is very simple and easy to use whilst being positive and firm. Overall I like the whole design but there is one thing that other buyers might like to know, and one issue that I think is a real weakness in the design.A). When used for the first few times the powder coating gets stripped off the adjustment bar (see photos). On the first couple of uses I found a combination of metal/paint ‘shavings’ on the floor beneath the board and could not figure out what it was. It was not until the third time of use that I investigated and I realised that they had come from the adjustment rod. These ‘shavings’ could be a hazard for a child that might pick them up and try to eat them. In fact there is no reason to paint this rod, it would be better if it was masked out during the coating process.B) The second issue I have which others might live with, is that the quite thin metal the board surface is made from ’cockles’ upwards under prolonged heat in one place. I found this when ironing several hankies in the same area, then it ‘clonks’ back to its normal flat position after a few seconds of cooling. It’s a bit like a large scale version of those old tin toy ‘clickers’ that were popular some years ago. I find it a bit annoying and question if a thicker metal would be more in keeping with the quality of this board? It’s fine with sheets and larger items as you are spreading the heat as you iron. Thicker metal would put the weight up but it is quite light for its size/quaity.Would I buy one again? yes, as the overall design takes some beating but it is not perfect and would be close to it if the issues I have highlighted were sorted out.ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON THE METAL TOP SINCE ABOVE. (11/8/21)In fact after using the board for a few months I find the 'cockling' of the top even more annoying, also what I had not fully realised is that it is in fact a 'gauze' so as well as distorting under heat it also allows steam which tuns into water under the garment you are ironing to leak through so after a lot of ironing I found a damp patch on my carpet. I assume if it was solid metal and not gauze this would cause trapped water to rust so no easy solution but it is a little annoying as I now have to put a towel on the floor under the board area!

Early Birthday Present for my Wife
My wife had been asking for a new ironing board for some time as our old one was around 12 years old. With her birthday coming up next week I thought I would give her an early Birthday gift. She was over the moon when Amazon delivered it today.Once she had finished work she could not wait to get her Minky out. I chose this model to compliment her steam generator Iron and it's futuristic looks. Well it certainly lives up to its name and its design features. While she was ironing all my T-Shirts she not nly looked Comfortable, there was also a new found Speed to her ironing and it was definitely Performance enhancing. She mentioned during her break to make me a cup of tea that she loved the Faster Crease Removal, the Ergo Rest for the Iron, the Flex guide to hold the steam tube but mainly the Steam generator shelf. My wife is quite tall and so the additional adjustment height also aided her effectiveness. After my trip out orienteerin today I brought back lots of muddy stuff that she can now wash with her additional load Washer I bought her two years ago, her extra load Candy Dryer I bought her last year and then back to Ergonomic Ironing. Now scanning Amazon for a few more bits for her Birthday, maybe a new feather duster, some furry cuffed rubber gloves or maybe a new Steam Generator Iron. My thinking is, the more efficient and up to date these things are, the more cups of tea I get whilst sitting with the dog.Moral of the story for a long and happy marriage fella's is listen to what your wife wants and act on it.

Build quality flaw - warranty worthless
The media could not be loaded. Bought this to be the last ironing board we ever bought but not to be. It's of good solid build general and was good for a while, but there is a flaw in the design which has flimsy plastic rollers that hold the runners in the tracks. These broke after a year or so of "normal use".I contacted Minky who asked for a whole lot of photos and details which I provided followed by lots of email tennis and was accused of "removing parts" and then "accidental damage" and then quoted consumer law !I offered to buy the replacement parts but the the defective parts cannot be ordered and replaced so the whole board was useless. They would not replace the board under warranty and just offered a discount on a new one which I declined.Have since bought another brand that will hopefully honour is warranty obligations and put its customers first over quibbling details and excuses to avoid replacing its faulty products. Its now with the metal recycler.Hope this helps other buyers beware.
