I had one like this b4.... but my hubby found it useful for his desk...lol!!! But that's how good it works. He uses "his" for paperclips, screws, a writing pen so he always know where it is. So I decided to purchase a 2nd one to keep my straight pins safe and easy to get to.

I bought this after my pins were falling out of my tomato. This doesn't work too bad and I like that as I'm sewing and removing pins as long as I place the pin close enough to the magnet the pin will land on the dish. It has a really good hold. I feel more secure with it and that my pins aren't going anywhere. I do use something else for my needles.

The magnet is very weak -- can only hold so many pins before they start falling off.The pins it came with are a "bonus" but they are poor quality -- many don't even have sharp tips.

I was greatly surprised & happy by the size of the Magnetic Pin Cushion, much larger than I thought it would be. Reading the measurements would have solved that. The pins were an extra for me. NOTE that these pin tops will melt, so do not iron over them.

You can’t fit 100 pins on here, but it holds enough pretty well. Will last much longer and look better than a pin cushion.
