Left Residue! Do not buy!
So I was really excited to try this product as I liked the idea of having a wire to cut the edge nice and clean for rubbercoating. It was easy to apply, and held a straight line, however the problems started when I went to remove it. The metal wire cut pretty good but the sticky tape part only halfways came away with the wire and left a lot of residue right next to the rubbercoat edge resulting in hours of careful scraping and rubbing trying to get the residue off. The idea is great, the application not so much!

Works well with high-build undercoating
This cut through the high-build undercoating very nicely.I applied it lengthwise along my Jeep right above the rocker panel so that I could coat the rocker panel with black undercoating and have a clean break at the body panels.Just make sure the applied product (Undercoating/bed liner) is nicely dry before removing this wire tape. I made the mistake of starting to remove it before it was dry and I smeared a little. I waited for the rest and it cut a perfect line the remainder of the rocker panel!Cheers!Ps. make sure to have good ventilation when spraying the undercoating so you're not found on the garage floor the next morning.

Beware of separation issues
Wire separated from the tape in several spots prior to removal. In fact, this happened during the spraying on of the U-POL epoxy bed liner. The vehicle was prepped perfectly in accordance with the instructions. Experiencing a product malfunction like this during the painting process is the worst possible scenario due to the pot life of the paint and the flash time with application of coats. Be very cautious with this product. It's possible that I got a bad roll because in spots it looked like it had been exposed to some kind of solvent. At any rate, be aware of the potential issue and make sure you apply the tape to a good sized test area and let it sit for at least 30 minutes to see if you experience any tape failure before you use it for the real painting.

Stuff worked OK
This tape worked OK, didn't stick as well as expected but I guess you get what you pay for and similar tape from paint supply store was about 4 times the the cost of this tape, I will use what I have left on roll then decide if its any better than regular masking tape.

FAKE! Imposter CHINA GARBAGE
If you use wire trim tape to make ur living. DO NOT BUY junk ,tape is cut half way through so it leaves xtra tape residue to clean off and tape has waves in it not straight. Just buy straight from langman manufacturing not this imposter garbage. JUNK!
