J.R. Liggett's Old Fashioned Shampoo Bar 3.5 Ounces Variety 3 Pack: Original Formula, Tea Tree & Hemp Oil, and Jojoba & Peppermint

My mother, sister, and I all use these bars despite having very different hair. My dreads love it. I never get the powdery residue in my locks like liquid shampoos give me. My scalp is prone to dandruff as well and I have never had that problem since switching. My roots are left feeling super soft and clean. The only issue I find is my dreads pull off a lot of soap so the bars don't last very long. I think it is a combination of my dread texture and exposure to water as it takes longer for me to apply and spread the soap. For that, I wish each bar was made bigger but I will definitely keep using them regardless. The benefits far outweigh my complaints, I'm just being through. I also use these with scalp massagers which helps a lot to work the soap deep into my roots since they don't lather much.

New to shampoo bars. Those are the first one I tried. Bought those in april and wanted to have time to try them (I gave them 1 month each). I am going to give a specific comment to each bar later in my review. For the pack of 3 bars, I really liked it. It gave me the opportunity to try different kind, because I read online that hair are picky and don't like all shampoos and you need to try different kinds and brands. After doing research, I liked the JR Ligett company (no palm oil, recyclable package, (even though the Amazon package isnt, but oh well), not too expensive, 100% biodegradable shampoo bars, and more).About the 3 bars:They almost have no smell. You have to put your nose max 1 inch from the bar to be able to smell something. It was the first time having an odorless shampoo and I liked that.I have short hair (middle of the neck) and I didn't finish a shampoo yet. After showering everyday for a month, I used around ⅓ of the bar, so I'd say 1 bar lasts 3 months for me. Now that my hair is used to natural shampoo and isn't getting greasy as fast, I shower every 2 days, so I guess they'll last me longer.I have hard water, so the shampoo is hard to latter. I have to work harder and it takes more time to wash my hair with that than normal shampoo, but it isn't a big deal. I don't use conditionner anymore, so in the end, I take less time in the shower.I do recommend using a Apple Cider Vinegar rinse after using the shampoo bar, otherwise, you hair has that squeaky clean feel. I used to use the ACV rinse every couple of days, but now, I use is every couple of weeks.So onto the review:Original: My hair hated the original. Left build ups in my hair and I didn't know if it was my hair desintoxicating itself from old shampoo or a reaction to the new shampoo bar. After trying the peppermint and having no problem, I knew it was the original shampoo. Not a big deal, I bought this pack for a reason : I knew I may not like all of them.Peppermint : My hair instantly loved the peppermint shampoo. It does leave a squeaky clean feel, but if I do an ACV rinse, it goes. Or when the hair dries, this squeaky clean feeling has no impact on my hair. My hair felt very light after I shampood it with it, and also, my face skin likes this shampoo, so I use the latter to wash my face too.Jojoba: My hair loves this shampoo too! Less squeaky clean feeling, more voluminus and soft hair. For now, it's my favorite, but I am still going to try the peppermint again for a month to see how my hair reacts to it again.

My whole family now uses this shampoo. It is expensive but lasts a long time and no waste. Also if you are at an age or have arthritis trying to squeeze bottles and need to be Arnold Schwarzenegger to get anything out, this problem is gone. It is easy to use and great on your hair.

I do not leave reviews, ever, but this shampoo deserves a stellar rating. I must admit it took about 3 shampoos to get results, it's different. My hair is healthy, easy to manage and I get compliments. It is not stripped of my natural oils yet clean. I do not use any other hair products (and I have tons of expensive hair stuff).Stand alone, amazing shampoo.

I've been using these shampoo bars for years, now, and I think they're great. They leave no residue in your hair, they don't strip out all the oils from your hair, so no frizzy static electricity issues. They also don't leaving it feeling unnaturally silky smooth. It just feels like your normal hair when you're done rinsing out, which is also easy. No major, overwhelming scent, so it doesn't clash with my aftershave/cologne. No giant bottle to fall over or have to tip precariously upside down when it's getting low. I use one of their little wooden platforms to store the shampoo bar so it doesn't sit on a damp cloth or in its own water on the shower shelf which helps the bar last longer. If you need conditioner, they also have a great conditioner bar which lasts a long time and I even apply that after I get out of the shower, leaving the conditioner in to brush through which is great when my hair gets a little long and I want it to gently stay in place without having to use gels or hair spray.
