I would buy it again
The Sigrun has thick blade stock, and I did have to thin out the edge some before it felt really sharp. That's the only issue. Otherwise, it is a very mean, modern fighting blade. Great carry setup and top quality materials.

Love This Condor Sigrun Knife.
First off I really like the general styles of Condor Knives. I also like the look of Seax blades, and I was very happy to find this knife when it seems to be sold out everywhere else. I like the look and feel of this knife in my hand and really love the blend of leather and kydex for the sheath. The leather can be switched on the sheath so you can wear it on either side. I did subtract one star though because I found a couple of rust blemishes on this new blade. Over all though, good knife.

Sigrun for the win?
I love all knives, any type...as long as they cut, poked, chopped or sliced stuff or even once used to...I'm down...I have fighters, bushcrafters, choppers, skinners, hunters, bowies and survival knives...but I've never really had a knife like the Sigrun...it has aspects of all the knives I've listed...nearly 5 3/4 blade length, very sharp fire rod notch, small fuller, lanyard hole, hammer pommel (which is painted...cool), 5mm full tang/spine, super deep scandi grind approaching a full flat, micarta shouldered scales that extend and cover the quillon...and all with a Seax/Recurve shape...WHAT A WEIRDO! It has decent balance (a bit handle heavy) and levels on the finger just behind the first pin. The knife appears very strong, the scales tight and provides a slight belly for the slice... a has a nice fine(ISH) tip for finer work when held skinner style. I do believe this sucker will do it all, maybe not perfectly...but that fire that's warming your beans won't give a damn if the featherstick you used to make it was "perfect" or not, and neither should you. (this is a general example, it feathersticks just fine). Mine did need sharpening when it arrived, but it required no more than a 1k grit touch up and strop polish. The sheath needs a mention also, Its a kydex (or like) and leather combo that is ambidextrous! Its set up dangle style, but you may be able to modify to horizontal. It retains the knife at all angles and is totally rattle free with a positive click on the seating. It has a thumb break that aids in popping the knife free easily.I really don't know what more you could want, other than hand finishing. Maybe a bow drill divot?? But you can do that yourself easily and shouldn't be a reason to not buy the Sigrun....Its definitely not a shelf queen, but a knife customizer or handy man could make it close...at $90?? I say take it out and make those jewelry knives look stupid for costing so much...ABSOLUTELY a one tool option....

Knife great, sheath is garbage
The knife is nice seems well made needed to be sharpened, the sheathe however is nearly useless…. Even the slightest twist on the handle while drawing or inserting and the knife binds in the sheath making it almost impossible to draw….. just not good ……. Have to find some solution to it…. Sad I like the blade

Came dull. Will not take an edge
This is strike 2 for condor knives for me. I really liked the look of condor's knives but this one will not take an edge. I even went so far as to take it to a pro knife sharpener. He found the bevels were not straight. He reprofiled them and still won't even cut paper. Would not buy this or any other condor knife ever again.

Pretty but meh knife
If judged simply by appearances this is an amazing knife, blade steel could be better but 1075 at least has impact merits. Really I purchased because of design but it doesn't make me want to purchase an more products from Condor. The knife barely cuts paper I know paper is not the end all test but it's an acceptable media to test knives against. Plus the first inch or so of my knife has a secondary bevel but no real primary. So a brand new knife that I need to sharpen because QA missed one and it got to me. Ehh stuff happens, I'd also like to recommend better product pictures. As the pictures here on Amazon made it look like the sheath look like it was setup for scout carry. Or horizontal on the belt line which was a selling point for me as there aren't a lot of companies doing that. But when it arrived it's a hybrid of kydex and leather in a traditional drop sheath configuration.

A good knife, but a long way from perfect.
This is a good strong knife, but could be better. Much better. The materials are first rate, but the finish could use some help. The "satin" finish on the blade looks like it was ground out with a 200 grit belt and left as-is. It's very rough. ( A satin finish is usually done with 300 to 400 grit. )And that black crap on the top quarter of the blade and the pommel is completely unnecessary. The knife would be better without it.I also don't think the blade needs to be as thick as it is. About 3 - 3 1/2 mm would be plenty. The sheath is okay, and can be converted to horizontal/scout carry simply by removing the drop loop. My 1 - 1/2 inch wide belt works just fine with it.As many have mentioned, the knife came dull. We're talking a blister-rubbing edge here.No big deal to someone who can sharpen a blade, but for anybody looking for sharp right out of the box... this knife isn't for you.So as I've said, it's a good strong knife. The 1075 steel is tough, holds a good edge, and is easy to sharpen. The linen micarta grip is well-shaped and not slick or slippery. So in general I like the thing. But only because I can and will correct most of its flaws. It will probably become one of my favorite knives, once I'm done working on it.But right this minute, it's just so-so.

Nice design but a bit disappointing
Overall it’s a nice design. Mine had a crack in the aluminum but plate and the steel towards the Tip is softer then the rest of the blade. So much so that It can’t even take a good edge. The sheath is nice retains the blade well and the overall fit and finish is pretty good. Just a bit disappointing for the price.
