Almost sure plantain flour is the only ingredient . Traditionally the plantain , cassava or other starchy vegetable is pounded from it's raw state into a starchy dough consistency and eaten with soups. The version shown here can be made on the stove top or in the microwave, I use have cup fufu flour and whisk in one cup cold water. Put in microwave for three minutes, remove and mix with wooden spoon then put back in microwave for three minutes . I eat with Ghanaian dish called light soup. I'm vegan so I leave out the typical meat.

Whisk 1/2 cup fufu flour with 1 cup cold water till lumps are gone. Put in microwave 2-3 minutes, remove and “pound” or stir with wooden spoon. Put back in microwave 2-3 minutes. Remove and pound or stir again with wooden spoon. Serve with yummy Light Soup (a west African soup).

Q: if I am making very small dumplings (egg-size or smaller) for kids to sample, how many could each box make?

Hi, thank u for ur great question. It actually depends on the thickness u want. So if u like ur fufu to be hard then u could get 15 to 20 balls egg shape. However, if u like soft and gentle fufu like me this could last u for about a month depending on how often u eat them and the number of kids. Hope this helps. Thank u Kaneshie Market USA
