Synology DISK TRAY (Type D7)

Hard to find this tray, but is exactly what I needed for my Synology NAS.

Ne ho preso uno aggiuntivo da utilizzare con un disco spare che tengo di riserva in caso di guasti e per cambio periodico in ciclo dei dischi del mio nas. Poco da dire, è perfetto per il suo utilizzo e mi rende più semplice fare gli scambi di disco.

I purchased a couple of 10TB WD Red Plus drives for my aging Synology DS414, went to install it onto a disk caddy and that had me scratching my head as it wouldn't fit in properly. This has never happened to me before!On inspection, the HDD has 2 screw holes per side instead of the usual 3, so the middle lugs of the disk tray were pushing against a metal wall instead of finding themselves a snug hole.I didn't have the heart to tamper with the tray and snip off the offending lugs, so thankfully there was this tray on sale which is actually a newer version of the DS414 tray that supports both 2 hole and 3 hole types of drive and the 10TB drive is now happily running in my aging disk station.For anyone else that doesn't have the heart to snip their drive trays, this will sort you out. The picture seems to show an offending center lug of the old tray, but the version I received was indeed the new version without this lug.
