Bootstrap Farmer 1020 Trays w/Humidity Dome Extra Strength, 10 Pack, for Seed Starting Plant Propagation Germination Tray No Holes Fodder System Starter

Bootstrap Farmer's trays don't even belong in the same discussion as standard 10/20 trays. The Bootstrap Farmer 10/20 tray is clearly built to be used by farmers who would like to get more than a couple uses out of a tray. The two trays in this picture were purchased at the same time and have both been used four times. The tray on the left is a "standard 10/20" tray from another vendor and costs about 25% less than Bootstrap's tray. However, after four uses, the cheaper tray has already cracked. Anyone who has used standard 10/20 trays will tell you they crack very easily and you're lucky to get a full season out of one. On the other hand, the Bootstrap tray will likely last us a couple years of continuous use (we are an indoor farm so we use them 365 days a year). When we do the math, purchasing the Bootstrap trays is far economical due to their superior design, strength and longevity. Spend a little more now to save yourself headaches and additional costs later.

I have been having so much fun with seed blocking and these trays and domes are perfect for keeping the seeds in just the right environment for germinating. They are sturdy and I will get many more years out of them!

These were pretty sturdy, especially the bottom trays. Tops held in humidity and had nice venting systems. Combined with heat pads, this set up worked great

These trays are a quality product that you will not find in any of the big box stores. I was getting kind of tired of cracked trays, leaking water, buying new ones every 2 years, and trays that collapsed with all of my precious seedlings in them. I have not tried the brick test but I bet it would work...I'm just not willing to gamble with my feet. Besides I'm just loading these with tiny little plants. The humidity dome is also cleverly designed. Vents to allow air to circulate or keep the moisture and heat in. There is plenty of height so they can be used even after the plants are 6" tall.I hope this company is around in 20 years when these 10 finally get driven over or blow away...I doubt if they will ever wear out. If I decide to get a bigger garden I'll be ordering more of these and I'll be showing all of my gardening friends too.

The trays are very sturdy plastic!The humidity domes also feel like good plastic, but seven out of the tin had cracks on the corner, because of the packaging seem to be too tight.

The trays seem sturdy and the tops fit snugly. I look forward to using them. The only problem is that 3 of the trays came with broken corners even though the box showed no damage and they looked well packaged. I suppose I will try to use them since it is not worth risking my health to try to return them . OTHERWISE... these seem like a good purchase.

These are great; we live in New England, so we have to start all our plants indoors under grow lights. The trays are exceptionally sturdy (I'll be replacing all of our older, flimsier trays with these, as soon as I can afford to), and the domes keep moisture and warmth in while venting them just enough to keep mold growth to a minimum. Even in a space that isn't that warm, our tomato seedlings thrived. I hope this company develops a whole line of products, including more seedling pots, because I'm a fan of their quality, and will gladly buy for them as we expand our growing.

My wife starts all her own plants and loves these. Not flimsy.
