Burn: The Steel Brothers Saga, Book 5

First off this book and the last book started off with the first two chapters of the previous book. This is silly and make you wonder if it was not a mistake to buy the next one in the series. The price for each new addition in the series is high considering this and also the added notes at the beginning and end of each addition may be is there to make the book seem longer. The chapters are short. The story is good and the characters are strong.Too much repetition of remorse for past actions or in-actions.This just goes on and on in some of the chapters. The scenes also seem to go on and on and on.The author seems to just be dragging the same things on and on and on so this book in the series will be drawn out and another book must then be purchased. Clever for the author but disturbing for the reader.

GOOD BUT NOT GREAT
I would’ve liked to have given this book a better rating but there were several things that have been constant in each of these books. The brothers are extremely needy & very dominant it seems to be a constant dialogue throughout each book. Also I’ve started to skip the sex scenes because they are over done. If I have to read “she opened for me” one more time I might never read the next book in the series. Now you would think that being a woman you might understand how women’s bodies physically work but should I second guess that myself? Common....seriously do women get that “wet”?!!!! I’ll just leave that here. The books are cut short (yes I know the reason is for financial gain) I’m glad my favorite authors don’t do that. It’s very disappointing. The story is good. The characters are well developed. A lot of the writing is good. Do I want to continue? Part of me does but I will end up paying for it (pun intended). The author could do better.

#TheSteelBrothers
Burn is Book #5 in The Steel Brothers Saga. I would recommend reading the books in order; Craving, Obsession, Possession, Melt and then Burn. The first three books in the series follow Jade and Talon, while Melt starts the relationship between Jonah, the oldest brother, and Melanie who is Jonah and Talon's Therapist. Burn continues with Jonah and Melanie's story.Melanie and Jonah continue to feel drawn to one another, spending more time together at his house. Melanie finds herself in an embarrassing situation while at at Jonah's house and decides to leave without being noticed. Jonah is extremely angry at Melanie once he realizes what she did. Because of hurt feelings, Jonah doesn't answer a telephone call from Melanie; a decision he will continue to regret. Some answers we've been looking for are revealed; while more questions keep us trying to figure out the mystery that is the Steel family. Jonah will do anything to protect the ones he loves, and that now includes Melanie. Due to certain situations, Melanie gains some clarity and starts to question her role in a patients recovery. Could the struggles that Melanie has faced with that patient somehow be tied to the Steel family?!? Jonah will stop at nothing to find answers that will help them all.The cliffhangers are awesome and this series is worth the investment. If you like a hot, steamy romance with mystery and a suspenseful “who done it” that keeps you wanting more, don't miss out! Helen does not disappoint!

Tepid and slow
Okay, I liked the first four a lot. But where they were steamy and compelling, this book was tepid and drawn out. I mean, if you aren't going to develop and move the story along, at least make it steamy so the reader doesn't notice. Also, I think part of the problem is that Jonah and Melanie just aren't as interesting at Talon and Jade were/are. I'll read the next book, but I hope more about Talon's story is reveled.

Page Turner
The intrigue and mystery surrounding Talon's abductors deepens as more clues are discovered. Jonah is drowning in guilt over not being there for Melanie when she needed him. Even though they've declared their love for one another, he knows she will leave once she knows the truth. In addition he must let his best friend know that his father is one of Talon's abductors. When will it end?Melanie is dealing with a lot too. Lawsuits, complaints to the medical board filed against her, new information surrounding a patient's death and her need to know Jonah's dark side. She loves the whole man so she needs to see it all.Helen Hardt keeps you wanting to know more and coming back to find it. She's crafted a marvelous web of intrigue with fabulous characters and an enthralling storyline. Definitely a page turner.

Loved it!
Burn is the fifth book in the Steel Brothers Saga and the second book about Jonah Steel and Dr. Melanie Carmicheal.I have really enjoyed and loved reading this book. I am not really a fast reader but I've read this book and all the other books in the series in a breeze. This book will keep you on the edge, turning pages as the story continues to unravel the mystery of Talon's kidnapping and abductors, and as new connections lead to more questions and answers. This book continues Jonah and Melanie's love story and definitely made me fall deeper in love with their characters. Helen did an amazing job creating a story full of suspense, mystery, and romance, not only with this book but also the ones before. Great read!

Great saga but very short only 200 pages.. The rest is a totally different book
I love reading these books but I'm very disappointed that when I think I still have half a book to read and i haven't as its a completely different story nothing to do with the book i am reading trying to encourage you to buy other books ... We are paying £60.00 for 12 books but really the length of the books it could have been written out into 3\4 full books... Everyone in the comments are saying the same.. After this saga i won't be buying any more without reading the comments to see the length of the book..... Great saga but the auther should think about her readers and the about cost...

Disappointing the series cost a lot and you didn't get a full book download content
I loved the concept of the Steel brother and the setting of the ranch perfectWhat i found very disappointing was the fact each book started with the chapter before and ended around 65 to 70% of the downloadthe Books would have been better as a series of 4 or 5 and not spread out over 10 booksExpensive for UK readersplease read the reviews before you purchase

Helen Hardt's Steel Brothers Saga continues...
If you’re familiar with Helen Hardt’s writing you will know that is flawless and that it has a way of tying you to the story… it just feels like you are a part of the words on the pages – that you are fully immersed in her world. It’s such a beautiful feeling to have; being a part of someone’s story (fictional or not), however, the real magic is when you feel yourself become one with a character. It’s something that I cherish entirely because to me it’s not an every read occurrence. But this is what makes me resonate with Hardt’s writing and what makes her a word magician! As a reader I find that no series that I love are consistent. By this I mean that there’s always one book that I enjoy over the others – however, with the Steel Brothers Saga I’ve found that I love the next book as much as the last and to me Burn is as gripping and lip-bite inducing as it’s fore-comers. Helen Hardt’s ability to tell Talon Steel’s story through other characters, AND whilst telling their stories is astonishing. To be able to harness and execute her characters’ emotions so that you, as the reader, are living every action, every twist and turn with them should be an impossible feat – but it is one that this masterful writer accomplishes.I can’t praise Helen enough on Burn. The only thing that I can say is that she has left me craving and needing more. Getting to that last word left me speechless and feeling like an junkie needing to feed their addiction. Because that is exactly what Helen Hardt’s writing is. A drug. Of the best kind.

Oh my!
Steam in the bedroom, darkness in the souls, actions and story line! Defiantly some colour leaking in for the brothers tho! Looks like they have found them. The nasty shirts that did the horrible act all those years ago. Not gonna go into too much detail as I think it will spoil the book!Jo and the doctor wowsers! Absolute steamy! Love the story line of this book and can not wait to read the next book. Just to think this was only suppose to be a fill in book till one of my favourite authors realises the next book in a series! Will definitely have to add this to my favourite and pre order the next book!

An enjoyable series
The fifth in the Steel Brothers saga and the story continues to grow. I can’t really say a lot without giving away the plot but I’m enjoying this series far more than I thought I would: so far these books have been compelling, quick to read (each is less than 300 pages) and surprisingly well written. Yes, there’s the usual gratuitous sex scenes but they’re fun if taken with a pinch of salt.
