There isn't any code needed, you just use the Alan key to open it up pull the plastic off the battery, put it back in, put it on your disk, press the lock in and it will beep then you have to press the black button within 15 seconds of that beep to activate the alarm, and that's it, to deactivate it just put the key in and unlock it, quick, easy, simple

Q: What's preventing a thief from opening it up and removing the battery/cell?

The actual locking pin stops the battery being taken out .there is a tiny grub screw on the bend which loosen the batterys.youtube it.youl see👍

Q: How do I attach the reminder the loop is too small?!

Try fewding it through the actual locking pin.mine was aswell so I bought an extra 1 fits fine.
