A CLASS ACT THAT IS DIFFICULT TO SURPASS ,,,,,, ALMOST THE VERY PERFECT EDC FLASHLIGHT
**Quick Observations:•••••••••••••••••••••••••Lite as a result of better design and alloy gauging. The perfect size as a result of compact logic circuitry .Distinctly Streamlined and semetric in form from tip to tip.Ascending switched light intensity,,, the perfect and most optimal output hierarchy. Not driven to Maximum LED output insanity avoiding unnecessary excessive high temperature and heat sinking bulk.Control logic simplicity making it perfect for indoor use at the lower level and for the outdoors at its top level. This little known brand has surprised me in many ways than I could jot here in a few lines of review. ,,,, It appears to be made by the same company that manufactures the Wuben brand,, albeit,, it features more sophisticated control logic and upscale design specs. One of the most important features in a multi roll, EDC flashlight is to have an ascending light output levels. ,,, When you are indoors, the last thing you'd need is a flashlight that would always start at blinding light output,,, then after you become blinded, you start fumbling to switch it down to a more suitable level for the indoors. ,,,, Many a prominent flashlight always annoy the Dickens out of me this way. ,,,, Not this Swanky flash-stick !!! ,,,, The design engineer, may have himself experienced the same ordeal many a time,,, which worked very well,, obviously,, for all of us once he was through with designing this jem. Before I begin relaying my impression,,, I will just say that this Eastshine deserves an accolade for an outstanding design esthetics and full merit for ergonomics and highly organized control logic ,,,, Now, let's get down to business.Starting with the holster, ,, it is, as all free accessories, not top of the line, but an excellent quality by any standard of practicality. The thump switch on this Eastshine is the perfect size, and provides excellent tactile feedback as well as continuous illumination for the specific ongoing task. It is the perfect size as well,, not turgid, and of outstanding manufacturing quality.Eastshine Light output of 1000 lumens, appears to be in-line with all flashlights employing the Cree XP-L2 ,,, in other words, it is not some exaggerated hyperbole as we disdainfully see with the ubiquitous cheapies out there...... Let's just say that measuring it,, came very close to the published number .....The packaging is somewhat lacking the swank of other flashlight Posh boxes, but this may not be as important or of significance to many buyers as it is to me. ,,,, Negligible point though,, this is just my impression.Another excellent feature present in this flashlight, which is absent in many of the high end counterparts is the lock/unlock feature. ,,, by simply turning the bottom cap a quarter turn counterclockwise, you lock the flashlight in the off position, therefore it is an invaluable feature when placing it in your pocket, or storing it with the battery in for extended periods of time.Anodization and finishing quality is on the same standard that I have found in the like of Fenix, Olight, Nitecore and Klarus. ,,,, This is decidedly a much better value,,, in addition to being more sophisticated (more sophisticated features than in the stagnat designs of the mentioned siblings,,,In term of all around value and utilities, my impression is,, this Eastshine flashlight should sit on a distinctive pedestal among any flashlight eclectic collection.**

Excellent Value, great flashlight.
I bought this flashlight as a backup for my Thrunite tn12(2016). I was interested in this light because of the beam pattern and the price.I am very happy with this light so far. The UI is identical to ThruNite, so the learning curve is non existant for me. If you haven't used a two switch UI before, you get used to it pretty quickly. The beam does have a hotter center spot with a tighter spill pattern than the TN12. This actually makes the moonlight mode pretty usable. I find myself using a lower intensity setting than I do with the ThruNite because more light is sent on towards the front of the flashlight. The 350 yard claim is a bit ambitious, but it does a good job of being a nice compromise between a thrower and a floody. The build quality on arrival seems to match all of the other $45+ flashlights I have owned, except I paid $28. I have used it on 2 jobsites and 3 days of hiking and camping so far with no damage or malfunction.I have seen some negativity aimed at this flashlight on flashlight forums. I do not understand it. This is a solid light with a solid build, good light output, good light color, nice beam pattern, and a good UI. And it is very affordable. If you are looking to step out of the dregs of low cost, low quality flashlights and get something nice, I highly recommend this light. Be sure to get a quality 18650 battery, such as a Panasonic or a Samsung and you will have a very nice EDC light rig. If you have a million nice flashlights and are looking for something unique in a small single cell light, give it a try. You can always gift it to your brother-in-law.Some other reviews have claimed that the light is to long to fit in the pocket, but I do not find that to be the case. The light is under 1" in diameter and isn't any longer than most other 18650 lights. It is also slimmer than most that have a bulge at the head for extra heatsinking. The one caveat I want to mention is that the slim head heats up rather quickly in turbo mode, but I rarely use turbo mode for more than 2-3 minutes at a time, and maybe you don't either.
