I bought this to hopefully extend the life of my small fence and gate which I know are on their last legs. They are over 20 years old and were obviously eaten up by termites. I later learned when relocating the hinges that they were also being demolished by wood ants (carpenter ants?). I applied the solution by paint brush and later with my garden pump sprayer. The next day, after it dried, the pitiful lumber was noticeably harder. A couple weeks later I noticed a big ol' ant thing stuck in the wood; guess it tried to escape and look for a new food source. When I replace the entire fence and gate, I will apply this borate solution to the lumber prior to starting the rebuild. This stuff works!!

I purchased this product to treat my grape-vine wood where I glue my air plants for wood boring beetles. I simply mixed the powder with water, brushed it on the logs, and all of the boring stopped from that point forward. No more powdery dust was found below my logs, and I couldn't hear the beetle larvae munching away anymore. It killed them deep inside the logs, and is suppose to prevent more beetles from boring into the logs. I love it!

This really saved me a bundle of money. But, be sure and have good ventilation because I found out the epoxy chemicals are very toxic. I used it outside, so, so had plenty of fresh air.Had a wood accent piece under a window that had weathered pretty bad over 36 years. Couldn't find any replacements and was looking at spending a good amount of money to have another one custom made. Actually, I had three that all needed work on. One was in such bad shape it was like remodeling 25% of it back to normal shape. This stuff really works. Give it a few days to hard and then paint it the color you need to paint it. Works on wood under, your eaves or near windows that might have succumbed to weather rot or wood rot.Works like a jewel.

... unless all those carpenter ants popped their clogs due to unforeseen natural causes!A quick calculation of 3 pairs of clogs per ant would class this as an awesome product!

I've had a bug issue under my porch and after 2 treatments, it reduced it by about 90*. Just did a 3rd treatment where I see wood dust so we'll see if I win this battle yet.
