I liked it because it's easy to apply ,provides good protection and is easy om my skin.

My wife and I were looking for a “reef safe” sunscreen for our 12-day trip to St. John. After reading reviews, we got two 3.4 oz. bottles of Hawaiian Tropic Mineral Sunscreen SPF50.One of the criticisms of reef safe sunscreen is that it doesn’t spread well. And yes, this was a bit more challenging to spread. But it wasn’t bad, really, and it’s nice to think you might be helping the reefs, which helps the fish, etc.The smell was wonderful—a tropical, coconut scent. We loved putting it on just for that! We’d start every day putting on sunscreen before getting dressed, then re-apply if needed after swimming. The 3.4 oz. bottle meets the standard for carry-on, so it traveled well through the airport. We thought we might need to buy more on the island (where it’s significantly more expensive), but the 3.4 oz. bottle each of us had got us through the entire 12-day trip, and we used it daily. We even have a little bit leftover!I’m sure we’ll buy this again, even if we’re not going near a coral reef. It’s a great product, and it worked very well—we got plenty of sun, and neither of us was sunburned even once!

Has to be one of the worst sunscreens. I am very pale and it leaves a strong white cast one me too. Not inclusive at all. Plus it's oily and thick. Do not recommend

It's mineral sunscreen so it's works well with my sensitive PCOS skin. This and mild soap is the only product I used now since my skin barrier is damage so far no breakout. If u don't like white cast this is not for you. The only thing I hate about it is coz I can't take it when traveling, it spills if it's not standing up even if u have the cap on.

it is a mineral sunscreen so it’s expected to come with a white cast which is pretty bad at first but as long as u rub it in for a minute it does end up going away and i find it’s helpful to apply it in layers (normally just 2) to minimize the white cast. i have dry skin and it feels a bit oily so it might not be best suited if u have oily skin though it does sit well under makeup, i def recommend

I really wanted to love this, but it’s very thick. If it was tinted it’d be fine, but it leaves a strong white cast so you have to put something over it to blend and then you have a full face with heavy coverage. Not my fave

Love this mineral sunscreen, would re-purchase for future tropical vacations, like the one I took this to in Hawaii. For a mineral sunscreen, it's very liquidy- one of the easiest I've tried to spread on the skin, with almost no white cast. Also did not cause me to break out! I have a medium skintone (Y405 MUFE) and this does not make my fast look like a ghost so it's my preferred facial sunscreen, if I have to use a mineral one. The only bummer is that it's not water-proof, so I'll wear this on a tropical vacation where we're in the city and there's only a chance we'll go swimming later in the day. Gives me peace of mind on protecting the reefs.

Leaves a white cast, which is to be expected for a mineral sunscreen, but it works really well. I have not burned at all using this product. My sister got a more expensive mineral sunscreen and burned our first day out on our trip to Mexico. She started borrowing mine. It works in the water and protects out of the water too. I love the scent, too. It now reminds me of my vacation.
