The Princess and the Goblin VHS

This movie was basically my childhood. I have been hoping that I would be able to find a dvd version of this movie as I only own the VHS. I am over the moon that I finally can. The package came very well wrapped and the dvd is just as described, no scratches, the cover and case were well taken care of and in just about perfect condition. just some sticker scuff that is easily taken care of. So excited to sing the songs and follow along with the story again.

The shipping was very fast. I got the VHS movie and it was brand new. Quality was excellent also.

Still love the movie. Good quality considering the Era it was made in.

Great movie to watch and to watch it digital

I like this corny movie with its two-dimensional characters for nostalgia (As a child, I enjoyed the grandmother's unusual magic and that music could harm the evil goblins.), though unsurprisingly there aren't good special features on the DVD.

This item was shipped to me surprisingly fast first of all, which is always a good thing when anticipating something arriving in the mail. I couldn't wait to show this to my boyfriend who had never seen it before. I wish some parts were explained in greater detail for the sake of having a well rounded plot but that never stopped me from enjoying this movie when I was a kid. It is a good one for families to watch together. My favorite part has to be the awesome song!

Not sure it's an actual DvD but it plays in my DVD player. So happy to have it in my collection.

Plays wonderfully without issue. I loved this movie as a child so much that I actually watched it in Spanish over and over since my mother bought the wrong language. But I loved it so much, I didn't care. Although, my eleven year old mentioned the goblins being somewhat scary with the animation... which would cause problems with my seven year old because she gets scared easily. I don't remember the goblins being very scary but she said its not too scary... she just wouldn't be fond of watching it at night.

This is one of my favorite cartoons as a child. I love this story because of the strong female character (even if she has a boy help her out and a protective father). A curious princess, who isn't afraid of an adventure, and acts bravely to help her father. Definitely one of the only princess stories I'll be sharing with my future kids. The characters are very unique, the songs are lovely, and I still love watching this as an adult. Recommended!

I bought this DVD for my friend's daughter and viewed it first. It was very refreshing to hear the well loved voices of Joss Ackland, Claire Bloom, Roy Kennear and Rik Mayall adding their own personality to the characters. Lots of whacky humour, so adults could watch as well without being too bored.The animation though not slick is charming, and children would still enjoy the storyline of the Goblin plot to take over the human kingdom above ground.

I remember watching this film when i was small and i really enjoyed every minute of it the music was the best for me, some great catchey songs.So i purchased it and watched it recently i couldnt beleive that i would b glued to my seat and i even remembered the songs.The film is exactly what the title says its about a princess and goblins are trying to kidnap her and a young poor boy realises that by _ _ _ _ he manages to drive the goblins away.its definetly worth the money

Although not the most sophisticated animation, The Princess and the Goblin is a colourful, magical, and delightful children's story. I wouldn't recomend this video for modern children as it is not up to the standards of today's computerised images they're used to. But if you have memories of it as a child, You will find it charming. I love it because it is increadibly steriotypical and cliched. A beautiful princess, saved from evil goblins that live in mines, by a hansom young minors son, and a king that looks and dresses like santa, not forgetting the fairy grandmother who lives in the attic! What more could you want if your reliving your childhood!

I hadn't watched this in years and it does feel a little dated now, but is still a good story with the goblins being the highlights!Its funny and fans of older Disney classics and other 80's cartoons will enjoy this.
