My First Ever Gimbal!
The media could not be loaded. I'm just starting out in the photography and videography world. I have an a6000 with the Kit lens. I do travel and food stuff so having large complicated gear is a hassle when Im backpacking around alot. I was trying to decide between the Crane M and the Crane M2. I am very glad I decided to go with the Crane M2 and here is why!Pros of crane M2:Brand new product so plenty of support and better software! This thing is light and small! Great for holding long periods of time and easily stored for any traveling! The build quality is great, it feels very sturdy and solid which I like! The locking motors is such a HUGE plus! I don't feel worried putting this in my backpack as I know it will stay locked in place and not rotate any bad directions.Super easy to use as well! the balancing for the first time took less than 5 mins and the quick reset positions makes it to where I can rebalance in under 30 secs. another big deal for when I travel and I don't have the ability to mess around with big equipment for those quick shots. This device doesn't take batteries so you don't have to mess with additional batteries or chargers either.I was worried I wouldn't be able to do inverted shots with this gimbal as it is smaller but surprising I can with my kit lens! such a great surprise!Being able to swap between smartphones and cameras was a big plus for as I get my media on both and it doesn't take but 5 mins to rebalance for different equipment.Cons of M2:Brand new so not a long history to build a track record. So we will see as time goes on for that.Battery life 7hrs. That can be a draw back with no the batteries part is that this has a lower battery life and no way to swap them out on the fly. But you can charge it while using it with a batter bank so all in all still worth it!Gears are closer together limiting max dimensions of cameras you can mount.720g max is kinda low but even if it held heavy cameras I would just recommend larger gimbals.App Usage:The app works well enough as far as I can tell, it connects quickly and once it is done once it will auto connect your camera, gimbal and smartphone once they are on. With the Song A6000 though you can not wirelessly control the camera with gimbal while in movie mode. That kind of sucks as this is used mainly for videos but this is NOT the gimbals fault. It is the fault with the sony camera, I just have to purchase the cable that will connect them and it will be good to go. So also not a huge deal.At the end of day I'm extremely happy with my purchase as this does everything I need and is wonderful for traveling and storing. I have never used a gimbal before and I felt comfortable using it getting great shots within a couple hours of using it. I will be posting a video review this week on it.Highly recommended for vloggers and travelers!

Super Compact and works with even much larger setups (Fuji X-H1)
The media could not be loaded. Super impressed by this small guy. I had the original Crane M for 2 years before selling it. I went about 6 months without any gimbal and then decided I needed one again. In my quick sample video from a real estate shoot, you can see some sample sweeps, pans and other movements that demonstrate how well it performs even on my larger camera setup. No Warp Stabilization or other edits done. Just the raw movements. My main concern with the original M was the lack of portability that I desired, despite being smaller than other gimbals. By making the batteries non-removable (and I'd assume less capacity), as well as making the bottom handle/feet removable (a new feature that I love!!), they managed to essentially make this gimbal significantly easier to pack, store and travel with. I appreciate how easy it is to charge, setup and get going compared to the previous model. I think this is a big upgrade in comparison, despite lacking in terms of battery life and build quality.I previously was using the original Crane M with an a6300 and then a Fuji X-T30. I now have a Fuji X-H1 and honestly, I was doubting it would even work with such a beefy camera. Even though the lenses I use on it are light and compact, the camera itself is basically a full-frame mirrorless in terms of size and weight. I'm not able to get the gimbal perfectly balanced as you're meant to, but even then, it still performs very well. There are times where an extreme angle or turn will cause it to give up, but I even had that happen with the older M and a compatible setup. If I had the budget and space, I'd be better off getting the Ronin Sc, however, space and money are tight and so, I wanted to try this out. It lacks a bit in terms of build quality and app features, especially with regards to camera compatibility, however it's a good, compact budget solution that is surprisingly capable.I mostly shoot cinematics and run-and-gun style videos. While it at times is frustrating to use, do to its smaller, less capable features, and at times odd controls, it's a great tool to have.

Great Travel Solution To Go Without A Tripod
I use this a lot and am very pleased with this Zhiyun Gimbal. I travel a lot and wanted to stop lugging a tripod for video with me and down size my camera at the same time. So this product was me reinventing how I shoot travel video stock clips, when traveling I wanted to be able to enjoy more of the destinations rather than being a pack horse carrying pounds of gear. Now I shoot professional looking clips at 4K with a Sony RX100V on this Zhiyun Crane M Gimbal, I use a run and gun style, so once your camera is attached to the gimbal and balanced, you can walk around your destination, when you see something raise the gimbal turn it on turn the camera on and within seconds your filming and the results look like your using a tripod. It does take a little practice with this gimbal to hold it and not have the gimbal drift horizontally, the other great shots are the flying type shots where you walk with the gimbal. This is a small gimbal designed for small cameras like the Sony RX100 and it does a great job, the batteries hardly ever need charging, I have used it everyday on a 21 day trip and didn't have to recharge the gimbal batteries, so I never did pick up a spare set, however the camera batteries on the Sony RX100V I need about six to eight in a day! When traveling I don't take the Zhiyun case, in fact I never use it I have a free promo shoulder back pack I had and put it in their complete with camera attached as the gimbal and camera does fold flat.Lastly and most importantly, balance the gimbal with the camera attached and the camera switched on, the Sony RX100 when switched on extends changing the centre of balance, always balance the gimbal with the camera switched on.Don't nearly balance your camera be exact be so precise that the camera when held on the gimbal doesn't move off balance when moving the gimbal when the gimbal is switched off. Nearly balancing your gimbal will shorten it's life, the gimbal will balance a nearly balanced camera but the motors are working harder and will burn out long before they should.Bottom line I like the product a lot and it does give tripod like shots, as well as flying and slider type effects.

J'adore

Extremely floored by the amazing gimbal!!
Fantastic!! Works flawlessly with my Lumix LX100 AND my Lumic G7. No issues with weight of G7 and lens at all (14-42 pana, 35mm Neewer, 50mm Canon. Did not attemp to try it with my Rokinon Cine Wide lens and Olympus 45-150 zoom lens and I don't think I will for fear of straining the motor.Balancing proved to be a little tricky but with a little patience you will not regret the time spent on it.Wow, just wow... the Crane M...mind blown.Get it!!

Best gimbal ever
Great gimbal. It does an awesome job to stabilize my footage for my Panasonic G7 with 14-42mm and 25mm 1.7. Really quick to balance. And great build. I've tried other gimbal brands (Feiyu), and IMHO, it's Zhiyun forever.
