Great Laptop Stand For My Couch!
This computer stand has so far proven to be an excellent product that has suited my needs extremely well. I bought it to replace a previous stand that had worked pretty well for me for several years until the base finally gave out. I use these stands to hold my laptop in a position where I can use them while sitting on my couch watching TV. I was concerned that this stand would not work well but I have been pleasantly surprised. The long base legs fit under my couch (the "front" one sticks out a little). I then used the "middle" joint to bend the stand with the laptop over the couch arm and right into a position where I can access the keyboard and see the screen well. I have a wireless keyboard that I sometimes use, but the computer's keyboard works fine as well as long as you can get used to typing at a fairly steep angle! Actually, I could probably readjust the joint to put the computer in a more "flat" position if I wanted, but I actually like it as it is. And I have found that I can swing it out of my way when I get up which is nice.On a side note, I did NOT find it difficult to assemble (took 5-10 minutes tops). The instructions could be a little more detailed (but who reads those, right guys?!) And yes, you DO need to be careful when loosening the joints because they will fall apart if you loosen them too much. So, DON'T DO THAT! :-) I was just very careful and loosened them just a little at a time until I could adjust the angles and then re-tightened them as soon as I got the arm where I wanted it. It was NOT that difficult. And, I am NOT that mechanically inclined. If I can do it, you can too.I attached a photo of my stand with my laptop in it. Sorry about the mess. what can I say? you can see a small section of my wireless keyboard under some mail and my wireless touchpad as well.

Great solution, but MUST add weight to the base
Does a great job of holding my laptop in the right position for a standing/pedaling desk. I have it at my bicycle on a trainer so that I can work and pedal. I get off the bike turn it to the side and its a standing desk.A few tips to make it work better, and these tips come to me at the cost of a cracked LCD. I take some responsibility for the cracked LCD. I bumped the stand and it tipped over.It needs extra weight on the base to prevent tipping. The feet are stable in 1 of 4 directions. I unscrewed the bottom pole from the base and slipped a 25lb barbell disk on the base and now the stand is very stable. The clips are not enough to hold your laptop on it. You need to use the bands as well. Unfortunately the directions don't explain good ways to use the bands. Also using the bands makes it a little bit of a pain to take your laptop off and put it back on.All said, if you need a standing desk with a very small footprint this is a good solution given the extra steps I mentioned above. I strongly discourage using this without the added weight on the base.

Neat idea, but not very practical
I really wanted to love this. It is highly adjustable, but it's hard to get just perfect height, angle, tilt, & ensure it doesn't topple (balanced) especially when you must stand behind it to adjust each part. Then sit down evaluate what additional adjustments are needed, get up try more, sit down, rinse & repeat. Once you FINALLY have it adjusted perfectly, never move it out of the way or some adjustments will move. I actually bought this to sit on the recliner couch & have an ergonomic laptop position. After all that, I realized the legs are too thick to slide under any comfortable seating. It defeated my entire reason for purchase. If you are only looking for an adjustable laptop holder with a regular chair, it might work. Also, disappointed in the two arms that are supposed to come down and hold laptop from moving. They do not touch both sides of laptop.

Great for your favorite comfy chair ...
We were looking for a stand to use on the couch or in a comfortable chair. This one was perfect for our needs. So light, but it handles our 17" notebook easily. It's modern looking & much less obtrusive than I had expected. I have included a photo of our setup. It's really very flexible for positioning your laptop, so long as you are able to center the weight as the instructions illustrate. However note that, once positioned, it is not designed to move around. It's light enough for you to move slightly to get up, etc. - but you can't swivel it out of the way, or easily readjust the arm. Still, I like this stand a lot - but would not trust it around active pets, children, or clumsy adults.

It works
It works, I like it. Needed a way to get my lap-top over to me to work on while in a recliner. My back gets messed up if I sit at the desk for long time. It is easy to assemble, and as long as you keep all joints tight, it is sturdy enough to handle the weight of the lap-top easily. If you let the weight of your hands rest on it while typing I think you may eventually cause yourself issues. But positioning to avoid that is easy enough. Stability is very dependent on keeping the weight of your computer in-between the V of the base legs, if you do that it is pretty stable. So far i am very happy with it.

Great product
I bought this thing years ago and I've kept it and used it for a long time. It's a mainstay in my living room. It holds my laptop at exactly the right position and rotation. It may not be the most beautiful thing but it's completely functional and very sturdy. The two legs are at right angles and fit around my chair perfectly. The joint nobs are easy to use and very flexible. I hope they make this product available again. You have at least one fan, me.
