Skullcandy ROC NATION Aviator Brown/Gold (S6AVDM-090) Over-ear Headphones with In-line Mic

I BOUGHT THESE HEADPHONES FOR MY RECORDING STUDIO, ORIGINALLY FOR THE FLASHY LOOK,BUT NOW I'LL NEVER TURN TO ANOTHER PAIR. THE QUALITY IS GREAT. VERY LOUD AND VERY CLEAR. YOU HEAR NOT JUST HIGHS AND BASS BUT MIDS ARE JUST AS CLEAR. BASS DOES NOT DROWN OUT THE QUALITY OF SOUND AND I'M ABLE TO HEAR THINGS IN SONGS THAT I NEVER KNEW WHERE THERE. THE ONLY DOWN PART, AND I'M JUST BEING PICKY HERE, IS THEY ARE SLIGHLY UNCOMFORTABLE AFTER WEARING FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME AND AGAIN I'M KNIT PICKING. BEST HEADPHONES FOR EXACTLY WHAT I NEED THEM FOR

If you're looking for the sexiest headphones around, these are for you. They aren't the most comfortable because of the "over-ear" material that presses in on the sides of your head; a soft and squishy fabric would be friendlier. If you have to wear your headphones for a long period of time these aren't a good choice because they aren't especially comfortable, but beyond that I have no complaints about the quality of sound. I think they sound great and my only regret is that the sides of my head are a bit sore after just 30-45 min.

I placed this order to replace my Skullcandy S6AVFM-157 Aviator Headphones that I have owned for two years, they are still good but I needed a second set of headphones. I really love this model that has _a removable cable_ that plugs into the left ear-cup bottom -- (a 3.5 mm female jack). The removable cable is tan color, woven and is very nice ,and, about 60" long, it has a microphone inline too.The model they sent me -- Skullcandy ROC NATION Aviator Brown/Gold (S6AVDM-090) -- has a none-removable cable with a 3.5 mm male plug. Also; it was missing the amber colored Lexan ear-cup caps! The company has NOT even responded to my many phone calls or emails.So as soon as I realized that they sent the wrong model, (that was incomplete at that),I ordered a replacement -- Skullcandy S6AVFM-157 Aviator Headphones -- this came and was the correct model. I love the S6AVFM-157 Aviator Headphones and was cheated when they sent the wrong model (that had been pilfered with in any case, missing ear-cup caps).What recourse do I have short of the courts? I tried the (S6AVDM-090) on and tried to listen to some music, but with the ear-cup caps missing there is a lot of feed-back, so they are not even very usable.I do a lot of buying through Amazon, and am so disappointed that this transaction was so very bad, very unusual in my experience.Any positive feedback or ideas welcome, from the public or Amazon.

I figured it was time to upgrade my audio listening tools, so I wanted to check out my options. I noticed a lot of people walking around wearing Beats by Dre, but I figured $200 was a bit steep for some decent quality headphones. I was so satisfied with my Skullcandy Ink'd ear buds that I decided to see if their other products were comparable. After reading some of the customers' reviews about this product, I put my money on the Aviators. Big mistake. Here's a breakdown:Pros-Clarity. The snares of the drum, the voices of the artists, they all sound clear as a whistle. Very nice.-Aesthetics. They are very stylish, and look good around my neck as I go about my day.-Accessories. They come with a leather carrying case, and a microfiber cloth to keep that plastic outer phone covering smudge and fingerprint free.Cons-Bass. These headphones have very little (or no) power when it comes to most modern music. Majority of my collection sounds rather bland in comparison to my ear buds.-Price. Sure the accessories are a nice addition to the setup, but it doesn't make up for the mediocre performance.Overall, these headphones seemed like great idea, but poorly executed. When I find that I get better overall sound quality from a pair of $15 ear buds over $120 headphones, I'm left with a very bitter taste in my mouth. If you're into orchestral music or anything purely vocal like acapella and spoken word, then these aren't a bad buy. However if you're an audiophile who listens to a variety of genres like rock, hip-hop, jazz, r&b, and metal, or watches action packed TV shows, movies, and live performances, then you may find yourself sorely disappointed as I was.

I love the headphones but when I got them they were not the same headphones that was pictured in the offer. The one they showed was with a headphone cable that you could unplug from the headphones and the one they sent me had a cable that didn't detach. Real bummer bes wise that was a feature I really liked...false advertising...

1. Light as feather. You can forget theyre even on.2. Gently surround your ears instead of press into them so you can wear them all day with no marks/pressure pain.3. They look badass.4. Cord isnt plastic so its easy to untangle.5. Great sound quality. Switched from sony just to try something new, instandly noticed the difference.6. Buy them. I honestly dont think ill ever switch. Ive gone through alot of headphones in my day and these are my favorite. Sooooo lightweight. *tear of joy*

"Good For the price". They sound great. That is the main reason to buy them. The fact that they look cool is the second. for the price I would rank them behind only the Bose and The Beats By Dre. and the coast $100.00 less.

Looks slick and casually luxurious, but it works hard to sound just as sexy as it looks. I'm not an audiophile, and I'm sure if you asked one they would tell you there are better sounding phones out there. But for me, I like music, and when I listen to good music on these phones it sounds like it's supposed to sound. You know, for all I know. And it's worth saying again, they look so, so, so good!
