We purchased 3m×3m pergola. Really pleased with it. We didn't find the instructions until we'd virtually finished as it was tucked in between the side cardboard packaging. Hey ho. Printed the essentials off Internet. It went together well, sturdy, don't know about how waterproof the canopy is ,as it hasn't rained yet ,would you believe. Think it's really good value for money. Looks really good. All in all I think uts a good buy.

Great value and looks the part. clear instructions and went together easily and is very sturdy. I was able to erect on own but would have been even easier with two. 😃

Well engineered frame that was easy to put together. All came in one well packed box.You will need to fix this down firmly with appropriate screws which are provided & you definitely need some assistance as it’s quite tall.I have a little electric screwdriver with Allen bits that speeded up assembly greatly.Only criticism would be the canopy, there are clips to hold it when extended out but nothing when you fold it back so if it’s breezy it tends to open on its own.I bought the 4m x 3m on a deal with £150 off which made it around £280 which it is worth, not sure I’d pay £400+

Cream shade, frame colour grey. Very well made worth the money, reasonably easy to follow instructions, definitely need 2 people. Will work well in our south facing garden. Would recommend to friends and family.

Brought this Pergola on the rating of stars it was giving and I wasn't disappointed. I'm a 60 Yr old female and managed to assemble it alone. I have only one small complaint is that one of the top caps to the legs was missing but after getting in touch with customer service they very quickly mailed one to me. So I would highly recommend buying one of these Pergolas from Purple Leaf. Very quick delivery and excellent customer services. Very happy lady 😁

We did a fair bit of research into something that would give a little shade from the sun. We considered many options, regardless of the cost. We opted for the Metal Pergola With Retractable Roof - this had a 'middle of the road' price, had good reviews and had the additional benefit of allowing for those who like sitting in direct sunlight, with the retractable roof. Assembly took A LOT longer than expected (please read the assembly instructions carefully and follow step by step). It is also a two person job. Once this was eventually done - the item is extremely sturdy and looks fantastic. In addition, the cover keeps the sun and brightness of the sun away. We would not have been able to use the garden last year as much as we did without it. We have stored the top canvas away during the winter and tied the sliding poles on the roof, to avoid them swinging around in the wind. Looking forward to those warm days when we can sit comfortably in the garden again. Highly recommended

Short answer is yes, All beam members are aluminium, instructions are great and easy to follow, Allen key bolts are good quality. What lets it down, well first off it arrived damaged by a puncture through the carboard with a fork lift dented tbe beams, 😔. I didn't spot this on delivery as the puncture was on the bottom on the bottom of the box, delivered by 2 guys?? It's heavy so needs a 2 person.lift. After moving to garden for unpacking it became obvious. Decided to build it anyway as it is is a right pain to get anything like this back to Amazon. Instructions are easy to follow just like Lego ones.Bolts holes are poorly aligned and you need to wiggle or drill them out slightly to fit, very poor cutting this should not happen on a product of this cost. It needs 2 people to help position uprights and cross beams, I can see light through the cover in cloud so not sure of UV protection, will see and update later. Once assembly easy to lift with 4 persons and position. Canopy doesnt have a tie back so used a velcro strap ,one I had spare . So I would purchase this again despite issues just check the box carefully for holes.

Just opened the box and once again a damaged part. This is the second time and will once again be returning the product. We still have not had our money returned from our first order.We are now considering going elsewhere.
