I was surprised by the quality of this game board. It is sturdy, nice looking, and I didn't feel like I was going to break it while playing with it. I am a grown woman but love playing games. Like board games, card games, lawn games, etc. I feel like I needed to clarify that.To me this game is geared toward children as it is very basic to play the games. I like the hockey side of it best. It is similar to air hockey where you can fling your puck to the other side thru a slot in the center. When all pucks are on the other side at one time, you win.I wasn't a fan of the opposite side of the game. It was similar to shuffle board. Only one person could play at a time and the pucks couldn't fall off the board giving you no points. This side had me wanting more challenge or strategy. It is not a game I would reach for again. I believe this game had 2 options for game play. I'm not a fan of either.The travel aspect of this game is only great if you keep the box. The pucks would not stay with it unless you taped the bag if them to the game board. Luckily the box was sturdy as well and will last longer than the old jigsaw puzzle boxes that love to break open at the corners.Just a warning with the pucks... they can go flying off the board if you get a little crazy and they can end up in your drink. It looked like an oreo in the bottom of my orange juice. Lol.This game is probably not a good idea for kids who are small enough to choke on the oreo pucks. With today's gaming technology this seems a little boring, but it takes no batteries, can travel, and is sturdy. You may be able to get some 8-10 year olds to create a championship game for this, but I don't think they will play with it long term. I am a mother of 4 boys, ages 18 and above.

Solidly made and good-looking set, sturdy with everything you need for some fast-paced game play. Love the smaller scale which makes this set portable. Highly recommended.

My son and I like to play this often. We like the slingshot hocky the best. The game center itself if easy to transport and you can literally just grab and go to play it anywhere. we have used it on the floor, on the kitchen table, taken it outside to his play house and even on the couch. The only thing missing is it would be cool if there was an attached compartment or mesh bag for the pucks. That would make it easier to keep the pieces with the board for travel. We have taken in it the car as well and the kids put it between them in the backseat and play. The shuffleboard game instructions are a little hard to figure out, b/c it plays different than regular shuffleboard, but its fun to play regardless.

I really like the idea behind both these games, and combining them into one package is a great idea. Are they games you'll play for hours on end? No, but they're still fun games to play with friends/family from time to time.The problem is that these do not feel very well designed.Problem 1: the pucks are very lightweight, this means that half the time when you pull them back on the "sling", upon release, the front of the puck lifts up and the sling pushes it forward and up into the air, over the "walls" of the board which defeats the purpose of both games.Problem 2: The sling across the shuffleboard game for launching the puck spans the full width of the game assembly, not just the launching side (as the product photos show), this means it obstructs the 100 point target and will bounce pucks back toward the start. That bounceback is fine as part of the game but it completely eliminates the ability to score 100 points which is clearly labeled on the board. This bungee/sling can't be cut off either since it is continuous with the sling required to launch the pucks for the shuffleboard game. The whole thing just seems like it wasn't fully though through.Despite these flaws, the games are still playable (you just have to chase some pucks that go flying out of the game board), but it could definitely use work. For a quick time killer or adult drinking game, it's not bad though.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product when the box was opened. It is solid, although on the small side.As stated in the listing, there are two games. Clearly the better of the two games is "hockey" which is a frantic two player game. The biggest issue is that the hole in the center is too easy to shoot through and the small play area gets congested quickly. It is too easy to make it through the center only to have it rebound back to your own side! Kids might find this more fun to play due to its chaotic nature, but as an adult, I quickly lost interest.The shuffleboard game on the reverse side was too easy. Almost every game results in the same score due to the small size of the game. There's such a small area that one can't help it. That side of the game will rarely be used in my opinion.Overall, although it is well made, I just don't see many people having a lasting interest in it. Reminds me of one of those desktop games that appears on store shelves around Christmas time.

Fun mini game board for passing time

The hockey game on the Franklin 2 in 1 Sports Center is fun. The shuffleboard game has issues. The elastic cord on the shuffleboard game stretched over the 100-point mark. The cord blocked pucks from being able to score 100 points. This seems like it is not well made.The frame of the board is sturdy wood material. The game board material is slick and shiny. It seems like it will scratch pretty easy and soon lose its look and maybe alter the playability.While the hockey part is fun, the shuffleboard game is disappointing, and I question how long this will last. This is a short-term novelty gift item. The cost of $31 is much too high.
