Based on the other reviews I took a chance on this one and so far have not been disappointed, Lonpoo not being a brand I was previously familiar with. In fact I was happy to branch out and try some brands I had never used before so this was a good opportunity.A solid player that is easy to use with all the functions one would expect - both as a disc player and with an external USB device. I essentially bought it to use in conjunction with my external hard drive and TV and it does a pretty good job - the only gripe so far is not being able to scroll backwards from the beginning of a folder to get to the end; I have to scroll from the beginning right through.This is this also the first blu-ray player I've seen with a time display, although there being only room for 4 digits, once the playing time goes past the hour it displays the minutes/seconds only. This is more of a kooky little touch rather than an annoyance.Overall very happy with this model.

So far so good. Nice little unit. Better picture quality than I expected, especially with DVDs from other regions where picture quality suffers on some other players. Each Region 1 or 4 disc I've played so far on this unit looks the same as a Region 2. Another reviewer mentioned a loud humming noise that this produces. Yes, there is one, but it's not too distracting and is only occasional, and I need to have my TV on low volume so if it was a problem I would have noticed. Still chuckle to myself each time a disc finishes and the LONPOO logo comes on screen. Very happy with this unit. Would be prepared to buy again, but hopefully it'll last long enough that I won't need to for a while.

Bought this as Christmas gift. I read through a lot of reviews and so gave this a go. I am absolutely delighted with its performance. Set up is easy and all cables you need were in the box. It played our region 1 blu ray no problem and there was no loud noise from it. It is very good value for money. There is the added bonus if the name which did give people a laugh. I would highly recommend this item.

I finally got around to getting myself my first blu ray player I had intended to purchase a more expensive LG model but this Lonpoo player was such a great price and the few reviews it had were mostly favourable I thought I would take a chance on it even though I had not heard of the company before I have to say I find it to be superb quality I have several discs which gave me problems on my previous player freezing skipping or just not loading the Lonpoo player plays them all perfectly excellent picture and sound I am so happy with this purchase I would like to thank Lonpoo electronics for their most excellent product and Amazon for making it available at a great price thanks guys

Great product. Exactly as described. Works as expected.

Pretty basic player, which is all I wanted, but the instruction manual is not the easiest to understand. The remote control is very small and the all-important buttons such as PLAY and PAUSE and REWIND are so tiny and grouped in such a peculiar way they’re impossible to press without squinting and peering at them to see which is which. And some of the buttons have their label above them and some below, leading to confusing inconsistency. A reasonably good player totally let down by the size and design of the remote. And the company name. LonPOO? Seriously guys, in the English speaking parts of the world!!??
