UZOPI Mavic Mini Air Pro Platinum Spark Accessories Tablet Holder – Aluminum Adjustable Remote Controller Bracket Mount Extender with Neck Lanyard Strap for 4-12 Inch Phone Tablets

The UZOPI Tablet Holder works well for my Apple Air 7.25" by 10" with my EXO Blackhawk Pro 3 Drone controller (mounts below controller). As expected, you will need a longer cable (10" or better) to connect the two. I am primarily leaving this review to perhaps update a problem that earlier reviews have had with this holder. There are two folding pivot arms that join together to provide the holder stem and pivot ball that attach to the holding platform. A few earlier reviews noted that this was made of plastic, only the base plate was aluminum, and broke with extended use. What I received had the base plate and folding arms made of nicely machined aluminum, I have had zero wear and no breakage from them. The platform that holds the iPad is mostly plastic with the exception of the metal spring loaded extension rods. No problems yet with the plastic components either. I tried two different brand/models of mounting platforms before this one, one much more expensive the other cheaper, neither was as simply designed or lasted as well.

This holder exceeded my every expectation:The build quality is excellent. The device is solid, made of metal where is matters, feels good in hand, and fits perfectly.The design is ingenious. Two metal arms flip up to make the mount extension and fold flat for easy storage. The whole device is easy to carry and not bulky at all.Best of all, it holds my Lenovo Yoga tablet. This tablet has a thick rounded edge with a built in stand. I was concerned that this mount would not be able to grip the rounded edge (which is about an inch thick). It turns out that it works flawlessly, and the spring-loaded mount extension holds the tablet securely.I could not be more pleased with this holder. I cannot imagine buying any other tablet holder for my Mavic Pro.

Since we dropped our land line my cell phone is now my only phone. I was reluctant to tie that up as I began flying my drone. Luckily I had an iPad mini that I was no longer using. I was able to take this mount and insert the Mini into it and with a longer cord I connected to the controller.The mound is well made and provides a nice tight fit into the controller arms. The cover on the iPad will fold under the mini and still allow it to fit between the arms of the mounts. You have to orient the mount so that it grasps the smaller dimension of the mini. I was able to download DGI fly and operate using the iPad.In short I really like the ability to fly my drone using the iPad mini.ProsWell made from Aluminum.Fits iPad mini with cover.ConsThe clip for the neck lanyard is not quite big enough to fully clip in, works but not totally secure.Have not figured out how I will store the mount.

This is a nicely manufactured adapter that feels built to last. It’s heavy, may be a little heavier than I would like, but it feels sturdy and well-made.If I could change one thing about it, it would be to design it so that it doesn’t block your view of the controller’s joysticks and buttons. The configuration is clearly shown in the photos, so it’s not like it was a surprise to me. And as I use it more and more I’ll probably get used to it. But I’m still relatively new to using my drone in the first place, and so I miss being able to actually see the joysticks and buttons. That may not be practical or perhaps they would’ve designed it that way.The adapter is clearly a thoughtfully engineered piece in every other way. If you’re thinking of getting a tablet adapter, this one is a very good value, especially if you are adept at using your controller by touch.

Makes flying with tablet easier!

Bought this in hope I would enjoy flying my Mavic with a larger tablet (iPad Pro 10.5) and oh boy I did. I'll start off by saying that if you find the right holder (and this is the right holder), flying your drone with a larger ipad (vs an iPad mini) is just a completely better experience. The difference in the ability to compose and understand what you see is just great, and I will NEVER go back to flying my Mavic with an iPad Mini.BUT - The right holder is key. I tried other holders and they were bad. This holder seems to have a disadvantage of hiding the remote, but in fact it is the BEST way to hold a larger ipad on this remote. With holders that do not hide it, the remote becomes unbalanced and you struggle to keep it straight. But with this - you get a perfectly balanced setup. And honestly? with the bigger screen - you really do NOT need any of the data on the remote - it all appears anyway on the screen and its so comfortable to read! And, the distance it has from the remote is just enough to guarantee enough room for your hands to be on the controls of the remote. Perfect!Moreover, this holder is very compact when folded, in spirit of the Mavic approach. It takes a few seconds to assemble but it's really not a noticeable effort, and it is stable and well made so that once you work with it there is no wiggle room.Bottom line - I STRONGLY recommend this holder and STRONGLY reommend getting a large ipad!

I thought this was a low-end plastic-type device but I wanted to see if it worked and held my iPad Mini 5. I was politely surprised to find it was a very sturdy metal bracket assembly! I dropped some of it to my concrete floor by accident and heard a nice solid metal tone. It is sturdy! I then assembled it and was impressed by its ability to fold down pretty well for carrying around but then assembled very well for us.I would highly recommend this product. It deserves all five stars!
