A good camera build limited by a proprietary video stream
This Utalent camera is a mixed bag. On the one hand, it was very affordable, and was dead simple to set up and configure. On the other hand, it sends all of the video to China, by default. This can be useful, as it allows getting video from the camera to your smartphone wherever you are, but it is a huge security flaw. Fortunately, after initial configuration, I was able to set my firewall to block all outgoing traffic from this camera. I was still able to see it in my phone app when connected to the local Wifi network, or when using a VPN to connect to my home network.Another unfortunate element is that while it does stream rtsp video (and I can successfully watch it in VLC) the resolution isn't has high.rtsp://_ip_address_on_local_lan:554/onvif1 gives a reasonable video stream, and the same with onvif2 gives a miserable tiny stream. I haven't found a way to get the 720p stream, other than with the app on my phone, and there is no app for the Mac, as far as I can tell. (There seems to be a Windows app, but it's kind of buried, and I haven't tested it with Wine on my Mac.)Bottom line: While the camera is affordable, and I like the ability to pan it remotely, the security concerns are significant, and it does not play well on the LAN with Open Source software. I might eventually crack it open to see if I can drive the hardware directly, but my near-term plan is to replace it with a Raspberry Pi with camera. It doesn't have the tilt/pan abilities of this camera, but it's even more affordable, and extremely customizable.

A high quality camera with an affordable price
Had this camera for a few days now and I must say it is well worth the price. The set up was easy with step by step instructions. From the time I opened the box to complete set up it only took about 10 minutes. I have it connected via wifi. I was worried the cam would have trouble having signal since my router is upstairs and the cam is set downstairs. Fortunately the cam has no problem with signal strength. I would definitely recommend this cam.

Do research before purchasing
Some of the functions of the cameras (I bought three) do not work on every camera that I purchased. Can only record alarm videos for 14 seconds-no more, no less, even though I have tried to enter other time lengths on every camera, have reset cameras, also, to try to overcome problems. Also, had to slighly crimp power supply plug to make it stay in socket on cameras. Have five other lower priced cameras that function properly. Not happy with the three acquired in this purchase.

Great security, great value
This security camera works well and it allows me peace of mind knowing I can check on my fur babies when I'm away from home.

Good inexpensive Wi-Fi security camera.
I bought this, so I could monitor my house while on vacation. It was easy to setup, and works good. The app could be improved, but overall it does the job nicely. I like the fact that I can buy more of these and add them to my account on the app. I will be buying more soon.

So much technology for so little, literally!
Delivery was on time & well packaged.I was Definitely pleased by the overall performance of this product.Was exactly what I needed and more.The set up was quick and easy and came with easy set up instructions and mount kit.Love it.

It’s a hassle and you constantly have to set it up
Don’t waste your money. Every time the power blinks I have to plug it back into the modem and re-add it to my account all over again biggest waste biggest pain in my butt
