Nice Neutral Carrier Oil
I like to make some of my own skincare products, which means it’s handy for me to have a collection of carrier-type oils around the house when I feel like experimenting. Hibiscus seed is one of several which I like and I’ve even seen it touted as “the new coconut oil.” I don’t know about that, but it makes a nice addition to the collection. I found it to be on the lighter side of light-to-medium weight and rather neutral in odor. A quick internet search provides a host of potential benefits to the skin, but a few which show up often are antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and hair growth. (I’m not an aesthetician nor an herbalist, please doublecheck anything I say). Enjoy!

Smelled old, like rancid oil.
Seemed like a good value. Advertised to have a pleasant aroma. But it smelled old, like when oil gets rancid.

I hope it's a good addition to my oils
Not too long ago I saw a YouTuber use hibiscus powder in her deep conditioning process. I saw this hibiscus oil and became intrigued. If hibiscus powder is good for your hair, why not hibiscus oil? I read that some people weren't fond of the scent, but I didn't find a hibiscus scent in my oil. Quite frankly, I didn't think it would smell like hibiscus since it's not an essential oil. At the end of the day, I didn't get this oil for scent purposes, I got it for moisturizing benefits for my hair and skin.

Hibiscus oil
I love hibiscus as flower, I love drinking hibiscus tea and this is the first time ever that I came across hibiscus oil I apply and massage oils to my scalp to keep hair growth stimulated and hair soft and shiny. Oil is much lighter than castor or amla oils that I normally use and I love soft scent of hibiscus.
