Quality feeler gauges
These are good feeler gauges. I have used these quite a bit and am very satisfied with them. Not brittle plastic, flexes vs breaking. All gauges come labeled. However, after extensive use, the label will come off.

Works like you think, but not exactly robust.
Works good enough. You will want to use it carefully. There is a 0.05 mm feeler gauge and the rest start at 0.10 mm with increments of 0.10 mm up to 1mm. Perfect if you don't want to damage paint.

Exactly as described. Seems accurate enough (compared to my calipers).
If you need one this is perfect for testing clearance without scratching. I bought 3. Comes with a fake calibration certificate!
