Did the trick!
Someone tried to break into my privacy fence. This was the exact lock- works great! It was easy to install. I did have to purchase longer screws from Home Depot, but I think it's because there was some damage to the 'balance' of the gate.

Easy Gate latch
I replaced my old gate latch with this one, and it's very easy to open and close, plus it's automatic. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it can't be opened from the inside.

Got a used one, it was missing a bunch of parts
Got a used/returnee one for an ok discount. It was missing all of the hardware and one of the adapter plates. For me though it worked because I only needed one part that I broke on the one I already had.
