Carb fix
If you are a acarboholic ( or diabetic or carb watching, but you just have to have rice, ) this is the rice to try. It is delicious and cooks perfect every time. I happen to be diabetic and a carboholic, and this rice works for my carb cravings. It iss probably the best rice I have ever eaten.

GREAT RICE
THIS IS THE BEST RICE! My hubby is diabetic and does not like brown rice. This rice is a lower glycemic index and does not spike his blood sugar. We like this rice a lot.

Awesome healthy rice options!
Great healthy rice replacement..I have grown with eating rice as the main staple.. to find Parish Rice is like a gem.. I can still eat rice with a small portion.. Taste and texture are like the regular rice..I cook the rice with 1 cup rice and 1 1/4 rice.. the result of best texture for my taste.. add a small amount of Coconut oil will bring another level..Truly, Parish Rice is the new option for healthy choice.. so Thank You!

Good, not great
I write this review as someone who typically cooks with basmati, koshihikari, or jasmine rice, so your impressions may differ. Regarding aroma and flavor this rice is not very different than most generic white rices. I typically rinse rice before cooking to remove excess starch from the kernels, and this rice rinsed clean immediately - perhaps due to the higher protein content? It took slightly longer to fully cook, about 22 minutes versus 20 for one cup in two cups of water. The cooked kernels were distinct and had a pleasant tooth - definitely not mushy. We decided that this rice would be best for "sopping-up" when topped with stews or red beans, or an ingredient in dishes like jambalaya. It isn't flavorful enough to stand on its own.
