Q: Want to buy Russell Hobbs blue light and easy steam iron26470 but am having difficulty .what should I do?

It’s light weight glides easy across clothes, glad I brought mine I got the pink one great for school uniforms and blazers have ironed almost all types of clothes and I’m happy with the results

Q: Does it have automatic shut off?

I don't know about an auto shut-off. It starts to bleep after a while if it's left on but not in use

Q: What is the "grey plastic part" for. it came in box wrapped in cardboard. doesn't say on instructions and doesn't show on picture on amazon website.

This forms part of the packaging. It protects the tip of the iron during transportation. Took us a while to figure it out but we eventually threw it away.

Q: Plastic grey part is separate to iron AND s about 1 & a half inches in size with grooves etc

This item baffled us also until we realised it was actually part of the protective packaging. I think it was to protect the tip of the iron during transportation. We threw it out eventually and its not been missed.
