Works as advertised.
I'm used to using larger diameter soaker hoses (5/8"). This works as well as the larger one, it just takes longer to get the same amount of water to the areas you're irrigating. Some things to be careful about:1) The hose arrives fairly tightly coiled & is stiff. Make sure you roll it out slowly & without kinking onto a flat, sun-drenched lawn or driveway, allow the sun to warm the hose for a couple of hours, to reduce residual tension. Then slowly continue to uncoil until the hose lays flat.2) When placing the hose the way you want it, be sure not to allow any tight bends that kink (they will cause the hose to leak fairly quickly) & try to lay the hose as flat as possible (minimize the ups & downs), preferably with the end of the hose downhill from the faucet.3): When connecting to the faucet, make sure the over-sized washer with the little hole in the middle (it's called an orifice washer) is installed. This helps to control the water flow & to help prevent over-pressurizing the hose.4) Make sure all connections are tight (both at the faucet, intermediate & end connections).5): Turn on the faucet SLOWLY, until you start seeing beads of water showing on the outside of the hose, all around its surface. You don't want to see any spray. It's a SOAKING hose.6): Inspect all connections, joints & the hose for leaks. If you find any at joints or connections, clean & re-tighten. If the hose is leaking, broken or spraying, return for a replacement.Hope this helps.Mike

Very pleased
The good reviews here gave me the confidence to buy three of these hoses all at once and I'm glad I did. I needed an easy way to water long rows of bushes that border our property and these soaker hoses work really well for that without losing precious water to run off. When we first took them out of the box they had a very strong odor, but stretching them out in the sun for a couple of hours like the instructions said to do to soften and straighten them helped a lot with that. I noticed the more you stretch them out and uncurl them the better and easier they soften and straighten. The hose cuts easily to the length you need and there are connectors to create grids but we didn't need those. My dad put the end caps and connectors on, took a bit of strength, but all you do is insert the hose into those pieces and they are locked in place, very easy. Then all we had to do was lay them where we wanted them. The other reviewers have said everything important to know about the washer that is inside the connector which has a small opening to reduce the speed/pressure of the water flow so the water doesn't spray out of the sides of the soaker hose. Also the water has to be turned on only a little to drip out of the sides. Any more and it will spray. It is very satisfying to see the water bead up on the hose and drip off. The amount coming out requires several hours of watering for our bushes to get enough, so I set a timer to remind myself to turn off the water.I notice that it does leak a little where the regular hose is connected to the soaker hose, but the leak is minimal and is where it needs to be watered anyway, so it hasn't been a problem. We did have to buy one new regular hose for connecting to a soaker because on the old hose the metal tread and gotten bent in causing a lot of leakage, but a new hose solved that problem. These soaker hoses solved a big problem for me and I am very happy with them. This is the second year I am using them and they still work great.

Maybe too long at 75 feet
My wife decided to add to our garden the easy way. In addition to our two 12x8 raised beds, we now have a 12 bale straw garden. We've been growing the seeds indoors since February and conditioning the straw since early April. One of the suggestions was to use a soaker hose instead of a conventional hose. Just turn on the water and walk away. What a modern day miracle! Not really. We got 75 feet of hose. Laid it like a conventional hose, water comes in one end, flows to the end. You get consistent drips all the way. Nope didn't work that way. The instructions tell you to turn down the pressure as low as possible to deliver consistent output across the length of the hose. No matter how much we played with the pressure most of the water dripped out in the first 20 feet. The last 20 or so were dry.Cut the hose in half and put on the two way coupling. Works a bit better only about the last 5 feet of each end are still dry.Tonight I'm going to cut the hose yet again, install a two way attachment on the spigot. I can put two main hoses on the spigot and run each to the middle of the now 18 foot sections (9 feet from coupler to end).

BEST SOAKER HOSE I'VE FOUND
This is the BEST soaker hose I've found for a reasonable price. It is sturdy, and once you configure your drip areas -- (took me awhile to figure out how I wanted it placed) I turned the water on very low, and "Viola!". Note that you must put the special blue disc washers in the female ends so that the water pressure is emitted though a small hole and doesn't overwhelm your soaker with to much water pressure. I attached the hose from the spigot to the half-way point in the layout I wanted to water. Make sure to measure where that midpoint is, so that you don't make an error and cut your garden hose too short. You'll need to get a couple of female ends to re-use the rest of the regular hose that you cut. You will need to have the drip system on for several hours to soak your area. I'm going to order a few more for problem areas...makes such sense to drip the water on instead of watering the surface of the gardens and then having to deal with run-off (which wastes water). Love these soakers!

soaker hose with connectors
I needed more connectors than what was supplied. Also it took a long time to arrive. Otherwise seems better than other soker hoses I had which leak/spray rather than drip slowly.

Isn't it suppose to work?
It probably is not a fair comparison... I purchased this soaker hose kit at the same time as I purchased a soaker hose costing 3-5 times the price from Lee Valley. The Lee valley soaker worked like a charm. This unit just did not seem to work well at all. I was really excited by the potential - the ability to send water through a "T" in two directions. Well, that only worked in a limited way and I have no idea what I did wrong.

Leaks big time...
Useless. Bought two. The point where you insert the hose leaks lot more water and puddles. I tried both the nozzles, cut the hose to level and all that. No good. Don't waste your money. I had bought the 100 feet soaker hose two years ago and that worked well. So bought two of these. Very dissapointed.

Easily setup up and quick to fail
I was really excited about how easy to set up this hose was in my garden. I bought 2, 1 for each of the front and back gardens. After only 4-6 weeks of installation BOTH of the hoses completely split open and are no longer useable.
