description is wrong
It should be for 1760 lbs load not 8800 lbs. it needs to be corrected on the description of the item..Other customer already mentioned about it. It is ok fod my lightweight trailer but because of wrong description, I cannot rate it 5 stars

Good
I never used it since it's oversize for me but I kept it, since it's strong and I may need it later.

Solid
It's great that all pertinent specs are clearly listed in print and also in the images/diagrams provided. There's no guesswork when these are out and about in the shop or field, either. The one thing not shown is that these Threaded Quick Chain Links (these are not Carabiner Clips, that is just a search keyword) have the diameter of the shaft stamped as 5/16 (") and the WLL (Working Load Limit) as well: 1760 lbs. and NOT the 4,400 LBS Break Strength, probably to avoid confusion. Also stamped "Made in Taiwan". These were less expensive than the local hardware store, and CURT is a fairly well known brand.

Great for lifting engines and transmissions
This chain link works great for what I use it for. I use it to lift engines and transmissions and it's never failed me.

Not as Decribed
I bought these for the strength of 8,800 lbs. It is only 1,760 lbs. Very disappointing. They are also not made with USA steel. Be aware if you're looking for high quality loop hooks.
