Easy to install, feels sturdy and safe, and comfortable to grip!
As a beginner to attempting pull-ups, I initially looked at the cheapest bars available. After reading their reviews, I decided to look for one with better quality that would translate to better safety, comfort, and peace of mind. I figured it could basically last forever, so why not get a bar of decent quality? I was very pleased with the reviews for this one, especially mentions of the manufacturer's great customer service as well as the bar's quality. It was easy to install with common household tools and felt very securely mounted. Once installed and tightened, it is possible to rotate the bar slightly IF you are trying to do so (or swinging from it, which you are not supposed to do), but to me it is not a concern since when you are doing pull ups, it does not rotate at all (even when I do a lot of kicking and flailing with my legs since I am brand new to pull ups :). One thing others have noted is that the bar's support does NOT depend on tension between the doorframes, but rather the weight is supported by the securely installed brackets. The bar comes with two sets of heavy-duty brackets that you screw into a doorframe with screws, so you could actually put the brackets in two different doorways and remove the bar from one doorway (leaving the brackets) and set it up in another doorway if you want. (Or I guess give it two different height options in one doorway?). The foam grip pads are very comfortable and feel high quality. They offer a comfortable padding but aren't slippery, and you can choose a relatively wider or narrower grip. Obviously I have not tried the cheaper bars out there, but after doing some research I am glad I decided to spend a little extra for one that is well designed, safe, and comfortable. Definitely worth the investment of a few extra dollars! I'm sure this one can last the rest of our lives.

Love, Love, Love
First, I researched doorway pull up bars for days before selecting this one. I was looking for one that wasn’t bulky, didn’t slip, and was sturdy and well-made. Oh, and didn’t break the bank. This one’s it! I installed it last night, following the instructions exactly. And it’s perfect. What I love best about it, is that I can close the door without any problems. It doesn’t get in the way. But really what makes it so good is that it’s very sturdy, and the grip is really comfortable. I have trigger finger in my right hand, and it makes it difficult to grab certain things. Not this bar. What I like about it as well is that it is semi portable. They provide multiple wall brackets so you can move the bar as desired. I plan to put a second set of brackets at the height of a dip station, so I can do low pull-ups and raised push-ups. I needed to reach out to Customer Service because of a missing bracket, which may have been because of a return – I’m not sure. But the customer service person was kind, helpful, and solved my issue quickly. What else could you ask for? I would highly recommend this doorway pull up bar.

caution: verbose!
i liked this product. there are few shortcomings. i have had much callow fun in trapezing through my doorway using this bar. in terms of working out, i recommend this item if you are an incipient in the field of calisthenics, and going to a traditional gym is rendering you an insolvent individual. this item, if installed correctly, is not extensively obtrusive. if you have been facing some acrimonious, invective cajoling from your family members about your stinking, stagnant lifestyle, this may be just the product for you. instead of squandering your potential, stymieing your physical activity in favor of an indolent lifestyle, and doing everything in a perfunctory manner, ameliorate your life and show your penance for your vacuously minded decisions by purchasing this product. if you may kindly pardon my most personally directed chiding. but i digress. to demonstrate my unbiased opinion, i shall state the cons, or aforementioned shortcomings, of the aforementioned product. in my personal, subjective opinion, the spongy material used for the grip on the bar is undesirable. its a bit slipperier than my preference, however soft on the hands. i wouldve personally preferred a grippier material, such as a tacky rubber, or anything a bit corrugated, as the rougher surface would allow for more freedom of expression with supinated or pronated gripping styles. however, for simple , less advanced techniques, it poses no issue. the supported weight and length customization, as well as securing mechanism allow me to proudly, highly recommend this item. however, it is not perfect.

Great product, great customer support.
Once installed, the pull-up bar feels very sturdy and I like the way the whole bar is covered with foam. No more accidentally bumping your head into metal. I like the way it can be quickly installed in about 30 seconds by expanding the bar into the mounts when ready to use, but it feels sturdy with no give. Other designs that rely upon compression only, don't feel solid until you crank and crank and listen to the door frame groan and creak. Then it's quick to take down. They have some allen wrench keys to lock the bar down if you want to leave it up. But if you just want to use it and take it down, you don't need to mess with that step. I think that is for long term use where, with time, the bar can slowly turn and come loose. Don't worry, for short term loose it will feel very secure and you can easily tell you don't need to lock the bar down.
