You would think 13 gallon trash bags would fit perfectly in a 13 gallon trash can. But not this trash can. It is much wider than 13 gallon bags, so you have to way overstretch them to get them to stay in, which is a hassle. What makes this trash can suck even more is that if you open the lid more than 1/3 the way, which is common to do most times you open it, the lid doesn’t close. It just stays open. Which defeats the purpose of a foot opening trash can. This thing is complete garbage. Looking to recycle it because it is worthless to me. It does not work how it is designed to work.

Got to have a nice, big, easy to open, hands-free trash can in every kitchen. Hard to find one that isn’t too expensive. This Glad brand can is just what I was looking for. Glad cans (yes, the well known American plastics company) are quality, sturdy, heavy, well made and use thick material. It has a foot-activated top opener, or opens easily by hand. The can is a standard 13-gallon kitchen can, but I use larger bags, extra strong, 30 gallons. They work great. Trash won’t pull the bag inside, using the extra large bags. I find the lid stays open, upright until I close it. This is a well made, heavy duty trash can. Perfect for my needs, and very well priced. I can highly recommend it for every kitchen.

This trash container has s too wide for your typical 13 gallon tall kitchen trash bag. The lock feature is not enough to hold them in place

It's a nice can and the foot peddle operates well, but there's one drawback: It has these two hinged arms just below the cover that you have to lift to attach the new bag. The arms drop back into place to secure the bag. Nice feature indeed, but the problem is that when you remove the old bag, the hinge points pop out and I have to plug them back into the plastic can to install the new bag. This happens every time. It's not a deal-breaker, but it is annoying.

Lid constantly pops off. Bags don't fit. Hard to fit your foot on the pedal. Do not buy unless you hate yourself and think you deserve punishment. I have called my worst enemy to tell them not to buy this garbage can.
