I wasn't expecting anything amazing from this product, proper Slushie machines cost a fortune, but I was at least hoping for one half decent effort. Sadly on the first attempt the machine failed successfully. The plastic tap was in the full off position as we added the mixture but we soon discovered it was leaking. Clearly not off enough. Despite heroic efforts to capture the leaking juice into a cup and re-adding to the top, whilst also pulling the tap into the off position to try and stem the flow, a few minutes of mayhem later the kitchen was a flood of not-even-close-to-a-slushie mixture. Waste of money, ice, salt and time. It was quite literally thrown out of the kitchen window so the clean up operation could commence. Seems others have had better luck with this product, but I wholeheartedly cannot recommend it.

Lots of Ice and salt needed but good fun and will be fab in hot weather.

It rattles, it bangs but does it make slushy not really, requires alot of salt and ice cubes we used 3-4 ice bags and it still hasn't made a decent slushy.I would save your money and buy the bigger non official one

I bought this as a birthday gift for my boyfriends sister ...she loves it . Its used alot especially during warm days .. ..I use small plastic cups for this so everyone can have some ..perfect for parties/bbq .. ...with the instructions regarding putting the jug in the freezer we usually put in the fridge for about 2 hours or overnight and making the diluted syrup solution is to keep in fridge for a minimum of 1-2 hours or overnight for the perfect slushy ....always keep an eye on your machine when it's making the slushy as it may take less than the time stated for your desired slushy result ....love it thankyou

I remember getting these slushies when i was a kid and absolutely loving them. So i couldn't resist this for summer.The pack includes the slushie machine, cups and straws, a 4 pack of different syrup flavours.It is mains operated and is not something that can be switched on and ready in 5 minutes. It does take some time and planning. One of the biggest things is that you have to add ice to make the slushies rather than just juice or water.But when you get the hang of it it is quite straightforward. Just remember the colder your ice the betterThey taste absolutely delicious both the Mrs and the neighbours kids agreed.The slushie machine is mostly plastic and feels a bit flimsy but it does they job.Good quality and value. I wouldn't recommend this at all it was so disappointing. Followed instruction and still a liquid after 2 hours of churning. Found I had to use a whole bag of ice and keep topping it up and used cold water as advised. I suggest getting syrups and blasting that in a blender/bullet as it takes seconds to make a slushi that way, especially if you have impatient kids (of all ages) waiting.
