Cold Brew Coffee Maker.
This thing is great! It creates the best coffee I've ever tasted. My stomach doesn't always appreciate the normal acidity of regular coffee but coffee made the cold brew way is the smoothest coffee I've ever found. You can let it "brew" for 12 - 24 hours depending on the strength you want it, I prefer 24 hours, at room temperature. It will then keep for up to 2 weeks according to the directions that come with it. I've never had to test that out.I like iced coffee best even in winter but you can easily warm it in the microwave. My favorite coffee lately is this, add a couple spoons of sweetened condensed milk, a pour of chocolate syrup & for the best iced coffee I've ever had I make coffee ice cubes. When they dissolve they don't water it down. It stays strong. This cold brew coffee maker is so simple, it's very easy to just dump the grounds out then run water through it until clean.I use a 1 quart mason jar & it makes enough at a time for 2 large mugs of strong coffee. If you need more than that at a time you'd probably want 2 or more of these along with additional mason type jars. It's great if you live alone however.

Nice product, really like it.
I bought this primarily to brew tea but used it the first time to brew coffee. I made the Mexican Mocha coffee posted it a review, it was wonderful but next time I will add more cayenne pepper.I was unable to invert the container without having leaks but actually do not see the need, maybe I am missing something.I have tea ‘brewing’ now but have not tried it yet. Tea was very good. Hint to let basket dry after emptying was excellent, just shake and all left over bits fall right out. This product is great, easy to fill, easy to clean and allows access to ingredients from the sides and the bottom. I have another tea strainer but the bottom .25 inches is solid so the full strength of the ingredients is lost.Long winded way of saying I really like this cold brew basket, am thinking of buying a couple more for Christmas gifts.Addendum: managed to invert without leaking. Put the silicon seal between the basket and jar, is that an 'uh-duh' moment?Anyway it works, not leaking, even with a plastic top which always leaks. Decided to try inversion again when making more Mexican Mocha because all of the added flavors were at the top, figured inverting would help blend them. By the way, I added a smidge of clove because I think that cinnamon, chocolate, and clove are quintessential Mexican flavors, I use them in my chili, wonderful, if I do say so myself.

Almost perfect
I've now ordered and received my second of these. It really does make cold-brewing coffee at home easy, and the resulting cup is delicious. I won't bother discussing the pros/cons of cold brew (there are plenty of other resources on the internet for that) however here are a few thoughts about the KolobCo brewer itself:Having used this nearly daily for months now, I can say that it works great, and has held up well. There is a little bit of separation that I can detect at a few of the seams, but nothing major enough to allow large grounds through. Even using a burr grinder for uniform grind size, this does allow a fair amount of silt-like fines through, so be aware of that. I just get in the habit of removing the filter, allowing the coffee to settle well, and then pouring from the original brew vessel to another container, leaving behind the last dregs, and that gets rid of most of the minimal sludge in the bottom. You could even leave them in if you like, though I'd suggest shaking the coffee concentrate well to distribute in that case. The one thing I will mention is that after now using/owning 2 of these, I cannot for the life of me get the included silicone ring to work. It has a slot that seems to allow it to be fitted around the rim of the filter so that there's silicone above and below, and when using it this way I am completely unable to get the metal lid of the mason jar to close, no matter how much pressure or torque I put on it. I've tried it on multiple wide mouth jars (to make sure that it wasn't just that one jar/lid combo), as well as using the standard metal lid AND a plastic lid that I purchased separately - none of them are able to close with the ring installed. I also tried putting the ring simply between the filter and the jar rim, but likewise cannot get the jar to close. That means that the silicone sealing ring is pretty much useless to me - ah well. I'll also note that the lid of the jar seals a little funny even without the ring, so there is a chance that the contents of the jar will leak out a touch if you invert or shake the jar while the filter is in. However it's minimal, and easily cleaned up, so I don't mind much considering the quality of coffee it makes, and the ease of use otherwise. Just be careful and aware if you go to shake or turn the jar upside down while the filter is in the jar ... you might make a little bit of a mess.If that was fixed, I'd happily give it 5 stars, all day long!If you're like me and drink iced coffee like others drink soda/juice (on and off all day long, no matter the weather or season), get yourself one - or two - of these, and eliminate your need to pay way too much at the coffee shop for subpar iced coffee (or even more for what they call cold brew), and do it yourself at home with your favorite bean blend!

Excellent brew concentrate!
I have been using a smaller cold brew system that works like the KolobCo but I wanted a larger amount of concentrate. The features that drew me to the KolobCo tube were the larger brew volume and the fine stainless steel mesh with the bottom of the tube also being mesh which allows for a more efficient draining of the brew from the grounds. I've not yet reached the bottom of the jar of concentrate so don't know if residue remains. If there is some, it's not a problem since it will stay on the bottom of the jar, not flow into my cup. I grind my beans in a burr mill on a coarse setting and do get some fine residue which appeared with my smaller brew system so won't be surprised if it appears with this tube, hey, it's coffee! it flavors the brew, you don't have to have to filter it or drink it, as I said, it will stay on the bottom of the jar -or cup if it gets there. Just don't drink the last spoonful. I also like the ability to turn the mason jar upside down to soak the grounds part of the time. Makes an excellent cold brew concentrate.
