I have been wearing them for last nine months . They are very comfortable , provide the stability, slip resistance and make great walking shoes on a golf course, just that they are not water proof. They can best be described as water resistant.

I recently purchased the New Balance Men's Fresh Foam Contend Golf Shoes to replace my Puma Ignite shoes, and I've got to say that these are in my opinion a much better shoe. I have 12 4E size feet and it's difficult to find shoes...especially golf shoes...that fit. I went to my local large golf store and looked through a few hundred pairs of shoes but none were in my size. I bought shoes twice by two different brands that said they were my size without trying them on first but they were much too tight and hurt a lot. I had to take them back. Other brands make shoes that claim to be my size but they're really not. New Balance is true to their word. This 'Fresh Foam Contend' golf shoe is perfectly sized and very comfortable. It's plenty wide enough where it needs to be, at the balls of my feet. Plus they're waterproof. I played a wet, muddy round yesterday (January 5th) here in Seattle and my feet stayed dry. From now on when I need golf shoes I will quit looking around and just buy New Balance golf shoes from Amazon.

I did not know I would like the New balance golf shoes as much as I do. They are actually more comfortable than my foot joys and my callaways.

These golf shoes are a tale of two cities. I have Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot. It definitely uncomfortable. When I golf I like to walk. However I’m lucky if I can finish 9 holes walking. I’ve had this problem for a few years but it’s recently got much worse. Living in the upper Midwest, it’s pretty much April before you can start playing. I knew I had to get better more comfortable shoes. After doing my research, I decided on these New Balance shoes. I like their tennis and walking shoes. I couldn’t find a pair at all locally in any size so ordered online. So here it is in a nutshell. These are the most comfortable golf shoes I’ve ever owned. For comfort and my foot problem, I rate these shoes 5 stars. For aesthetics and style, I can’t give these more than 2 stars. They are really ugly golf shoes. I got the white and tan combination. The top of the shoe has tan coloring and it looks like linen or some sort of wall covering material. It’s just plain nasty! I’m going to keep them because my priority was comfort for my foot having Plantar Fasciitis. Maybe just pure white would be better but that material on the top of the shoe has to go. I know my golfing buddies are going to razz me on these golf shoes.
