Best one I've used
Great product! I bought different tongue cleaners before and this is the only one that's able to scrap cleanly. Others seem pretty dull in comparison, but this product has just the right edge. Product is easy to use and the size is not too small or long. This is the 2nd pair I bought.

The best tongue cleaner I've ever owned. And I'm obsessed about it.
I have 4 cleaners. Every cleaner I've purchased after my first was purchased because I found a better one. The first three were plastic and this is my first stainless steel one. The only thing about having a tongue cleaner and having a pink tongue is that you suddenly realize whenever someone else has a white-coated tongue. And the whole time their talking, you just wanna wipe out your tongue cleaner and take care of it for them. They would get to keep it, of course. Everyone walks away happy. lol. Aaaaaanywhooooo, here's the pro's and con's I found between this new one and the old plastic one's I have.Pros:1. The fact that the stainless steel on this one is thin and flexible means you can grab it with one hand (like the others) and squeeze the handles until the curve fits the width of your tongue, allowing you to scrape down and getting almost everything off in one swipe (the very sides of your tongue will still contain saliva and therefore the other stuff you didn't want there (I'll keep it vague to prevent any "ewww" reactions, hopefully). This way you still have to make two extra swipes to get it off. One on the left and the other on the right.2. The same product feature listed above allows two hands to be used, which allows for better control, which also allows for almost all the saliva to be collected in one swipe down. Takes a little practice, but after the 10th tongue cleaning, I had it down-pact.3. The stainless steel is straight and flat. Most other have angles that allow calcium, etc. to collect within the angles, making for a gross 3 minutes when you have to get a Q-tip and remove the gunk from there.4. The stainless steel is more hygienic than plastic ones.5. The current price (as of 01/24/12). So long as the shipping stays free, this will remain an excellent buy.Cons:1. Takes up more space than the other plastic ones which are straight, allowing it to be packed easily with other items that are straight as well (speaking of the plastic ones, right now).2. The stainless steel is a bit too thin. This allows it to be bent a little out of its shape, if you're not too careful with it. I can imagine someone trying to bend it and fix the shape to the way it was before, only to have it bent even worse. So long as you don't get crazy trying to get it exactly into the perfect shape for the width of your tongue, it should be fine. After I saw how easily it bent, I quickly gave up trying to make the width absolutely perfect for my tongue.I didn't feel these cons warranted me reducing the rating, since the strength of any one pro over-weighed both the cons for me.An additional consideration:It is a thin and flat piece of stainless steel. If you go overboard like I do (working on it) with trying to get your tongue pink completely pink, you may end up making the circumvallate papillae bleed (had to google this one). It's the arrow shaped row of big bumps near the back of your tongue. With the plastic ones, this barely happened. I found out it was unnecessary to scrape as hard, as only 1/2 the pressure I used with the plastic ones did the job of taking whatever was on my tongue off.Great product. Highly recommended.

Sturdy and adjustable
I tried other tongue scrapers but I always come back to Dr. Tung's. It just works really well. It's nice and sturdy and the width can be easily adjusted. I like that the scraper is wide metal, not cheap thin plastic.

An odd little device that is worth purchasing
I don't know if it can be proved true, but you'll certainly feel cleaner after using this product. This simple device looked like an easy way to help get rid of bad breath. I had long known that part of bad breath came from residue on the tongue, but what are you going to do about it--remove your tongue? Enter the tongue cleaner. It is a simple design, easy to use, and easy to clean. There's really no way to screw it up. With each swipe of this device you will most definitely notice gunk being removed from your tongue and mouth. A quick rinse between strokes and you are good to go again. After a few strokes your tongue looks much cleaner and healthier. Your mouth will feel better too. It does seem like your breath is better as well. That said, it is very hard to say for certain that it is really making a difference; any surface will look fresher when you scrape off its top layer. Is your tongue really cleaner, or are you just removing older flesh from it? Make no mistake, you are definitely scraping the flesh of your tongue when you use this. It doesn't hurt, but the tongue is sensitive and prone to injury as we all know. Also, there is no handy measure for bad breath. Even if you have a supportive friend or spouse to smell your breath before and after, that isn't exactly a reliable way to judge.Despite lack of any scientific proof, I like this product and since I ultimately feel cleaner after using it, I'd say it is worth purchasing.

A worthwhile purchase
It’s good. It definitely scrapes stuff. And, honestly, I do think I taste things slightly more keenly now. It’s cheap and sturdy. Quality, I’d say. Worth the purchase, especially for the price.
