Q: Does this model have temp controls?

No, there is no temperature control. I use it weekly and have never had a problem with the temperature it is preset for. Burgers, grilled cheese, chicken, etc.

Q: How can I purchase another control panel cord for this grill? I had it for six months and love it! The kids did something with the cord...

I would contact the seller, give them the model/serial number and tell them you need a replacement heating element. Also tell them you've only had it 6 months and maybe they'll replace for free or at least a discount.

Q: If you don't have a dishwasher, are you OK to just wash the grill plates? Or is it safe to soak everything in a regular kitchen sink to wash it?

Its ok to just wash the grill plates and yes its ok soak in kitchen sink but not the electrical unit. That should never be soaked in water or under water faucet.

Q: This question was asked before but never answered: What is the difference between the bronze and grey grill plates?

My answer was entered, but apparently deleted afterwards. Anyway, I've copied my answer, hope you enjoy your grill as much as I do. ------------------------------------------------------------- Initial response: The bronze plates do not stick to anything and you don't have to spray with any cooking spray. They also have slots for the grease to drain into the drip tray below. And, the best difference is that you can put the bronze plates in the dishwasher! Hope that helps.
