4 out of 12 batteries were leaking or deficient
I bought three boxes of 4 batteries for use with smoke detectors in rental units. One box contained one battery that was leaking under its protective wrap (only 2.5V), and three batteries that showed slightly less voltage than the batteries in the other boxes, i.e. 9.4V instead of 9.6V. These three batteries where immediately rejected by the smoke detector (First Alert SC9120B) with a "Low Battery" chirp, the others were accepted without such a warning chirp, but seeing the small difference in voltage between acceptable and non-acceptable, I now feel even more anxiety about the batteries failing quickly than with the standard alkaline batteries, and I feel like being duped into paying so much more than for standard batteries in the expectation that they might last something like 5 years.I tried to return the box of four bad batteries, and although the purchase price was refunded, the batteries were not accepted, as per return policy, for physical return to Amazon, and had to be brought to a hazardous waste disposal site, as the batteries contain lithium metal that might ignite and start a fire when mechanically injured.

Excellent product. Keep in mind that each one is wrapped in plastic which needs to be removed before using. I say this because my husband thought we were ripped off when they didn't work. Needed a woman's touch.

9V 1200mAh Lithium Batteries
I use these in my chronograph and metal detectors. Both units are on for long periods when in use. So far these show no drop in power. There is nothing worse than driving to a shooting spot or a detector hunting area and have the batteries fail! So yes, you should have back up but long life batteries are sure nice when you rush off and forget the spares. Not that I would ever do that. Ha-Ha yeah right. These should be the choice for smoke detectors and other detectors such as gas and CO. So far so good.,

NOT rechargeable - but good batteries
Those batteries are NOT rechargeable. I made the mistake and read Lithium and assumed they were rechargeable. Yep that happens when you don’t read the full detail decription. How ever I own dozens of EBL rechargeable AA and AAA and they are very good. So I’m going to keep those ones and replace with the rechargeable ones next time.

Leaking on arrival
Upon opening the package, I discovered that one of the batteries has leaked. I don’t know if this is common or not. Too much trouble to return batteries.

smoke detectors
way less expensive than what I get local meets city requirements, one cost less than 10 regular NIC's almost no call outs for beeping alarms, date the alarms and change out in 10 years.

Did not last long.
They worked really good at first, but after a few uses only one battery will charge now. We have only had them for 2 months.Update: They have have replaced the order. I'm waiting to see how well they last.

Voltage Drop In Smoke Detectors
Have had 2 batteries lose enough voltage in smoke detectors in 3 years to cause the detector to chirp.
