I bought a filter for my refrigerator and there were no O-rings installed on it, so instead of tossing it in the garbage (these filters are not cheap) I ordered this kit. Using the old filter I was able to compare the O-ring sizes and got it right on the second try. No problems, no leaks and cost was pennies.

These are silicone not rubber. They do a good job of sealing between the base and my Oster Professional blender, but they tend to stick to the bottom of the blender, so I just unscrew the base, then run water into the blender to help pop it off with the blades.
