Limbsaver Airtech Slip-On Recoil Pad, Small-Large Sizes, 0.5"-1" LOP, No-Slip Surface, No Stock Modification, Reduces Recoil for Maximum Control and Stability

I recently got back into shooting and sporting clays, skeet, trap, pheasant shoots etc. I purchased a clay thrower to get me back in and get practice at home. The first weekend I destroyed my shoulder, 100 rounds, 90 clays and some pretty decent bruising (thanks largely to blood thinners). I have attempted recoil pads in the past but generally they irritate me as they will not stay in place and I end up tossing them to the side.I saw this one and saw that it had pretty high reviews but I still had my doubts on a claim of 70% reduction of recoil from a shot gun. I decided to give this thing a try and in one shot, all my doubts were busted. No pain, almost no recoil, shot after shot I was amazed. I think 70% might be under estimating the amount of recoil reduced. Spend a day shooting well over 150 rounds. No bruising, no pain, no stiff shoulder. I let a few of the other guys try it and they were amazed as well. Both went on Amazon to purchase one. No point on being macho anymore I take no pain over being stubborn.Installation and fitment are great. I put the small/medium on a Remington 1187 Special Purpose 12ga with no issues, fits snug and does not move. Hope this helps some other people.

Wow I ordered the medium pad for my Mossberg Maverick 88 12 gauge and it fits like a glove. Nice and snug. I haven't tried it out yet but I'm sure it's much better than the stock pad.Update- The limbsaver does seem to dampen the recoil much better than the stock pad and also reduce the muzzle jump of the firearm. For $20 it's worth the money a lot more fun shooting the 12 gauge now. Save a shoulder buy a Limbsaver!

I own a 12 gauge semi-auto tactical shotgun This particular shot with an 18.5 inch barrel is under 7 pounds and therefore has more felt recoil over a typical heavier field or trap grade semi-auto. I bought this to replace a gel-filled slip-on pad thatI would use to reduce the felt recoil when shooting 25+ rounds of high velocity slugs or defensive #00 buckshot during a range session. The gel-filled pad worked well and gave only a minimal amount of soreness on 50 rounds with slugs or #00 buckshot. However I had zero soreness with the Limbsaver. Therefore I would highly recommend the Limbsaver if you are looking for a great slip-on recoil pad.

I own 3 of these and they significantly reduce the recoil of anything I put it on. The sizing guide was accurate for my Savage Axis and Winchester 1300, but fits a little looser on my Winchester SXP. It’s not loose enough to fall off, but it’s not as snug as it is on my other two. If I could buy it again, I would probably size down one size. I shot 200 rounds of 12 gauge during an event a few months ago with one of these on, and my shoulder wasn’t sore or even slightly bruised at the end of the day. I’ll be a fan of these for life.

Have not tested it yet, but wish that the back of the package was shown. I ordered medium size, and the package lists 18 manufacturers (plus models) which it will fit. Including Remington 700 and Winchester Model 70, which I needed. The purchaser needs to know this stuff. The pad itself seems stretchy and firm/soft enough to do the job. I will heat it with a hair dryer for a few seconds before putting it on the stock. Adds 1" to length of pull.

Fit my Weatherby Element 12 like a glove. If you don’t remove the original it will add about an inch or more to your pull..

This old guy needed to absorb some of the felt recoil on a new 12 gauge MAC 1014 shotgun. This slipped right over the existing butt stock and greatly reduced the felt impact when firing. Highly recommended!

Makes it much easier and better to target shoot. Can run a couple dozen rounds and my shoulder doesn’t hurt after.
