Interesting shape, in a good way!
I've been using Pulsar x2v2 mini for about an year now. It's the only mouse that I found comfortable. I wanted try Xtrfy MZ1 or the Shroud because of the shape to see if I can get a better fit. I'm glad that I went with MZ1. According to the dimensions the Shroud is more wider than most mice. I'm not a fan of large mice, and yes I've used the superlight which I didn't like.My hand size is 18×10. I use relax claw. For some reason MZ1 has the tendency to make the hand into it's shape. In the photo the way I'm holding the mouse is not my usual way, but this mouse make the fingers straight, and makes it easy to grab the mouse by pushing the mouse towards the palm. The high back hump and the thumb goove play a big part of the grip. I prefer the high back shell than the lower shell that they provide. I can still slightly micro adjust with the fingers vertically even with the high hump.Buttons are way better than the x2v2 mini. Perfect tension and tactical feel from all the mice that I've used. Only issue is not getting able to adjust the dpi since every tuning is done on the mouse itself.I can highly recommend this if you want to try something new. But keep in mind it'll take sometime to get use to the mouse. Cheers!

Good work Zy! Really hoping this shape catches on.
Got mine a few weeks ago and already I am in love. Never felt this good with a mouse since I a Zowie EC1 back when I used to palm grip mice. This has the same great comfort and gives me the same confidence in my aim while being providing the additional range of movement of fingertip grip. It probably hugely benefits that I have hands the same size as Zy, as the first time I picked up the mouse my hand naturally sat exactly where the smooth sections of the mouse where (i have obviously got the same grip style as zy) I even forget the mouse has holes most of the time. This is a great mouse, I really hope it does well and more manufacturers pick up this shape. Good work Zy and Ztrfy! If you like fingertip/claw and have similar size hand to zy i cant recommend this enough.

Great gaming mouse with industry standard flaws.
Not much I can say to be honest the shape is great really good for claw grip users and finger tip too. I tend to hold it without it touching the base of my palm and just gripping it with fingers only. Sensor feels really crisp and sharp, pin point fluidity of movement no smoothing like some other sensors (owl eye sensor in my kone pure ultra although amazing feels sometimes too smooth). The big flaw that comes with basically all mice of this type is when the buttons are split apart from the main shell, and aren’t properly secured they will have annoying pre travel of the mouse click, sometimes post travel and almost always some kind of movement to the left and/or right. It’s really distracting when it’s not a simple on or off feel with other mice and it is also a concern over lifespan of the mouse as it will get worse with use. I understand some copies of the mice will have 0 pre travel and post travel as well as minimal left and right wobble but most won’t be perfect examples, like my copy of the mouse which has a better right click than left click.Final verdict it’s an amazing mouse that’d I’d happily use as my main because it feels amazing in games like csgo and valorant but as of writing this I found out about logitechs rerun of the G303 (which is now wireless!) I’ll be switching over to that mouse and seeing how it feels to use. Don’t get me wrong her the wire on the zy’s rail is phenomenally light and unobtrusive but when you could go wireless, why not? :)

Comfort grooves in mouse buttons great for fingertip + claw grip
Impressed straight away with this. I've been using the Logitech g pro superlight before this and find the MZ1 lighter and easier to slide on my mouse pad; it also fits my smaller hands better and gives me more control. My biggest concern was that this is a wired mouse and I have been using wireless mice for years now, but the flexible mouse cable is so good that I honestly can't feel it or tell the difference between wired/wireless (I am using the Camada II mouse bungee though).Bonus points for having lots of configuration options (DPI, polling rate, RGB settings, Lift off distance, debounce) that are all controlled via button combinations on the mouse itself. Not having to install nonsense bloatware from a mouse provider is great. The one minor thing is that the mouse has holes on it. I can only feel these on the right hand side if my fingers aren't in the 2 specific spots where they have not decided to put holes. I wonder if the thinking was that these spots give us a marker that tells us our hands are (or aren't) in the same spot that we usually have them to provide consistency in our mouse grip, but it is slightly annoying when you feel them and get distracted.Whilst I can't feel the holes at all anywhere else on the mouse, I'd prefer mice to stay away from this holed nonsense in future. If that has ever bothered you before on other mice then it could possibly be an issue here.

Same problem as the German review's issue.
Get yourself a Razer Deathadder V2. This may seem sleek and nice at frist. Even for somebody with small hands like me. And it is. But it literally costs a lot of money and only works for a very small period of time. And then you go back to Razer V2 and realize it still feels better anyway even for a small handed person like oneself. Skip it.I mean, this is the case about the black one. Dunno about the white one. Seems like a scam but, I am gonna try the white one most likely at some point. It costs more, for some reason, why is that? Is it just the color? Anyway, could be that the awful USB bug only applies to the black one. Still, if you are short on money just skip this mouse altogether. If you have money to spare, like me, then try the white one. Either that or wait for me to eventually try it and review it. Even with all my money it's not actually worth my time, and time is money, yet. One shall see.

It could be the perfect mouse for you
Shape is king, and the MZ1 has a shape like nothing else on the market, even 3 years after it's initial launch. This is a mouse designed by a Quake player, and it shows.---SHAPE & GRIP:The fingertip grip which you'll likely find yourself using is great for tracking and flicks at high-speed, and of course, rocket jumps. If you play tracking and flick heavy games I think this shape works especially well. The caveat: Lack of control. I've found that I perform much better with a stable palm grip when holding tight angles in Counter-Strike, or making wide, smooth turns in surf. The placement of the sensor is exactly where you want it and the placement of the side buttons is comfortable even if you have long fingers.---BUILD & FINISH:The MZ1 is a well built product, but does suffer from the common drawbacks of honeycomb mice, that being dust and creaking which are just inherent to anything without a solid shell. That being said, I don't think you could damage the mouse in any regular usage and it still feels premium. The right and left buttons are very tactile and consistent, but are fairly heavy coming from the Razer optical mouse switches or Omron opticals for example. The scroll wheel is fairly light with minimally defined scroll steps. Middle click, the "macro / action button" (the one placed behind the scroll wheel), and the side buttons are all a bit on the heavy side but feel nice. The frosted-transparent shell and RGB effects look amazing, genuinely some of the best RGB I've ever seen in a mouse. The cable is also very good, I prefer it to the Razer Viper Mini cable, for example.---PERFORMANCE (...and place in the market in 2024):This is a wired mouse from a few years ago which doesn't stack up to the 8,000hz polling rates and feather-weights that characterize the top end of the market in 2024. But even topping out at 1,000hz polling and 16,000dpi the tracking performance is basically perfect. Consider that even with 1,000hz polling, the cursor position is still being updated almost 7 times per frame on a 144hz display. While I would like to see an updated version of this mouse with the insane specs that top end mice have in 2024, it is genuinely more for the theatrics than for actual in-game performance.TL;DR If you're reading this you won't have performance issues with this mouse.---FINALE & PRICE:If you were able to get this on sale for $50 like me, this mouse is very worth it. I think the wireless version needs to be re-priced, or re-spec'd to match the current market. This is a very solid buy if:+ You play Quake, Apex Legends, or any game with a lot of tracking and a long time-to-kill especially+ You have some spare cash and want to try a truly singular mouse shape+ You already use a fingertip grip and want something even more optimal+ You always forget to charge your mouse...avoid if? You play with an even lower sensitivity than me (38cm*360) in which case I'd encourage you to look for wireless options- You really only play Counter-Strike or games where stable aim is extremely important- You insist on using a palm or claw grip- You really think contemporary 4khz / 8khz polling is worth it

Best fingertip mouse if your hands suit it
The MZ1 is a very unique small shape mouse. I have 16.9x3.9 cm hands, so pretty small size hands. I came from the Razer viper mini, another great lightweight small mouse. The shape takes a bit to get used to, since it's so unique and unorthodox unlike other shapes in the market. After a couple of days of getting used to the shape and tuning my sens in OW2 and Valorant, I've never aimed better, large swipes, flicks, and microadjustments is a breeze. My Widow in OW2 has never been better, I make more consistent, better shots compared to the RVPM. Tracking with the MZ1 is also very nice.Build quality is superb, my copy doesnt have any rattling or creaking whatsoever throughout the entire mouse, very solidly built.Overall, if your hands suits the mouse for fingertip, no brainer, an excellent mouse to have, give it a few days to get adjusted to the shape.Pros:Build qualityNo software needed! Built in settings control like polling rate, DPI, RGB and the likes.Cons:Cable could be better, but with a mouse bungee, plays just fine

SATISFIED!
TLDR: This mouse is my first choice when I play FPS games and when aim matters. I use a different mouse for browsing and MOBA games. Satisfied with my purchase. (:Normally don't write reviews but there aren't any on this one so I might as well write one for those who are interested in using this mouse. As of now, I've had this mouse for about a week and I have to say... I'm thoroughly satisfied with MY performance and MY use of this mouse. To be honest, I wanted to return it after trying it but I gave it a few days and now I can't stop using it. Even when I'm not using it I like to have it in my hands with and click the mouse because I find the clicks satisfying. I honestly would rate this a 4.5/5 because the scroll wheel isn't to my liking but it works fine and I haven't had any problems. I only use this mouse for when I play FPS games like VALORANT. I use the Roccat Kone Pro Air for games where I don't play like a sweat and when I'm browsing. My hands get sweaty easily so I added grip to my copy before I even started using it so I can't really speak on the texture of the mouse. I always add grip to my mice before I use them now. SO if you're like me, I suggest you buy the pre-made lizard skin grips they have for this mouse. I had extra grip so I didn't have to buy it but as you can see.. my cuts weren't perfect-Mouse glides fine. Added grip tape because I hold my mice further back than where there are holes but I usually add grip tape to my mice anyways because my hands get sweaty fast.-Mouse clicks are satisfying to me <3-Scroll wheel is ehh but I can get over it-Mouse in hand feels really small but I adjusted after a gaming session. The side clicks are nice and barely, if any, pre or post travel on any of the clicks-The lower back feels better to ME than the default back does.Mice I've used/own(ed):-HYPERX Pulsefire Haste [wired & wireless]-ROCCAT Kone Pro Air & Burst Pro-Razer Viper Ultimate & Orochi V2-Cooler Master MM711 & MM720-Logitech GPW & G305-Glorious Model O & Model O-Hand Size (for those who care): 18cm x 10cmGRIP STYLE: Kinda weird... I finger tip mouse of the time but I pull the mouse to the top of my palm every now and then. I kinda show it in the picture (using the smaller back it came with)

Small and light with great shape and build quality
UPDATE: I have seen other customers have issues with double click. Both here and other platforms. I myself have not had any of these problems but will update my review should that change. I've been using the mouse for 2 months now daily with no problems.A great mouse to add along with the 'light' models. Probably my favorite shape of a mouse this small. Great build quality and materials, button clicks are satisfying and crisp. Shape isn't going to be for everyone especially if you like a bigger mouse size especially one that fills your palm. I'm coming from using the Logitech G pro ultralight before and the Razer Viper Ultimate before that.-One thing to note is there is no software associated with this mouse. All settings are done through switches on the bottom and mouse clicks. Easy to use and there is as much customization as you'd get with software.-Build: Love the plastic coating used for this mouse, feels smooth but still matte enough where it is not slippery. The original Logitech G Pro had this issue for me as an example. No rattle at all in the mouse when shaken. Buttons are crisp even on the scroll wheel; side buttons have little travel and feel solid. Mouse feet glide as smooth as the best. RGB is there and bright enough, you can turn it off to save battery life. There are a lot more options for RGB than I was expecting as there is no software on the mouse. Theres a light in the scroll wheel and one big one on the open end back.Performance: You can look up technical specs comparing this wireless mouse against others on the market and the wireless 2.4 connection along with the sensor and button switches are all top notch. This mouse was designed by a popular youtube reviewer with all his specs. Settings include lift off distance and polling rate so lots of customization for real fps gaming. Battery life on the first full overnight charge was around 90 or so hours. With RGB I have seen people saying 50-60 which is still great off an usb-c charge for a few hours.Hand Feel: This is going to be where you're taking a chance with this mouse. If you like smaller mice, smaller than the g pro and around g503 territory, then this is my favorite shape on the market. While being small there is still enough room to vary your grip and rest your hand comfortably when called for. Having the variable backs is good for lowering the back end and allowing your fingers to rest more along the mouse buttons. The mouse button grooves are deep but feel very natural and don't stop you from spreading fingers out if that's your thing. I think this can be a favorite mouse shape for a lot of people, I don't even play FPS primarily and it's just a very naturally easy to use mouse, able to use it in palm grip then fingertip control when needed. I was worried about room for my thumb below the side buttons but it's a nice flat shelf and mine rests comfortably. There is also a wired version that doesn't have the adjustable back if you are looking for a cheaper alternative that has all the same features including a wire.
