Is this headset compatible with avaya phones?

Yes, I also have an Avaya Phone, and it works with the adapter (RJP-C) that came with the Kit. Works great.

I bought this to use with a cisco 8841. I can't get any sound through it. Any suggestions?

Just connect headset top with coild connector QD002(C). Do not add any RJ adapter. After installation of headset, use speaker or headset button to activate using of headset.
