This jig works great with narrow knife blades like boning knives and small folding knives, I have a Jet system but the Jet jig is too thick and the holding screw sets up and hits the grinding wheel at times. No problem with this one.

Wish it was just a bit larger, but it works perfectly- holds the knife securely, and I get precise angles when sharpening- Well made- spring closure keeps jaws open until clamping down the back screw- which is nice-

Worth replacing the old jig with
What I really like is the way the jig centers the blade, it makes it much easier to get a centered grind on my blades. I also like the way the handle is reconfigured.

I have used the old knife jug for years and it always annoyed me I couldn’t get identical angels on both sides.This makes the angels identical on both sides.Absolutely great tool.
